PC Terraria Guides: Google Drive Folder

Terrarian
Hello, Terrarians!

As a 9 year veteran of the best sandbox game out there, I find myself constantly learning new things about this game.
But over time, I found myself having to remember all kinds of information to help out my playthroughs.
And what better way than documenting is there to store all that you've learned?

In this folder, you'll find every piece of information I have gotten from this game.
But it's not just a mere tip here and there... oh no...
It guides you through the entire game.
Every class,
Every biome,
Every boss,
Every event...
The list goes on.

And if you follow through the exact strategies...
You can - IN THEORY - beat every boss/event taking no damage.
I've already tested it all myself.

Not even so, there are plenty of tips that I've learned through my own experience.
Tips that you might've never heard of before!
For example...
If the Necromancer spawns, you can quickly dig a 6+ block tall hole and will dodge 99% of its attacks.
Did you know that?

In fact...
If you want a regular playthrough guide from start to finish,
There's a Master Mode document just for that!
(But don't worry, it still applies to any difficulty, even Journey Mode.)
Pre-1.4, I tried out my previous guide on Expert Mode Hardcore.
And guess what?
I defeated the Moon Lord on the first try.
But this isn't to brag about my skills.
This is only to show you how far a little planning can go!

You can just search through the Hardmode Jungle if you're stuck there,
You can learn how to properly manage your inventories,
Or you can look at every single page here.
All in all, do whatever you want with this information!

Just sign up with Google Drive - if you haven't already - and each document is able to be viewed by anyone.
And yes, I will continue editing all this; there's always room for improvement.

Really great collection @evanhallmighty1, thanks for sharing!

Very cool stuff! I haven't checked to see if you discuss any progression skip strategies, but I'd be glad to share any information I have on some of the more obscure ones if you haven't documented them already. 😊🥤

My current playthrough has been going smoother than ever before ever since I've started taking things nice and slow after reading your stuff. After going through your drive, I've learned to enjoy the smaller things in the game (such as fishing, gem corn farming, and prepping for biome expeditions). I had so much done, even before beating a single boss! And just having a neat step-by-step list really helps people like me a lot who struggle to keep/maintain an organized playthrough session and end up 'rushing' everything (storage chests am I right??). One other thing, your Master Mode doc has given me tremendous help!

P.S. I am loving the 'obsidian armor > platinum' strategy. At least I have decent defense until I can get my hands on some good armor.

What a tremendous compliment.
Thank you so much!

Indeed, there is so much you can miss when you just look at what's on your screen rather than look ahead, plan ahead, and enjoy the whole process.

These documents have a lot of pages. Is there any way you could compact them?
Great question!
I wish I could, but... Terraria's just such a big game.
It's like taking the solar system and trying to put the details on one page.

But I'll give you this:
Open the "Outline" and you should be able to click on headings so you can skip to a section/boss/biome/event or whatever.

I actually deleted a "Shortcut" document after 1.4 came out because most of the strategies were kind of obselete.
But after finishing my first Master Mode playthrough, I will be working on some speedrunning strategies, along with challenges (like a Wand Only playthrough, my favorite weapon type).

Here are some tips that I've come up with personally:
1. Want to skip to Hardmode ASAP? Here's a summarized shortcut.
a. Kill WoF with Dynamite, show in my [Random Scraps] (currently)
b. Bomb Hellstone
c. Fight Goblin Army with my [Base Farm], Collecting: Shadowflame Knife
d. Collect Amarok with my [Blizzard Arena]
e. Fight The Destroyer with my [Destroyer Arena #1, Using Dynamite & Yoyo]
f. Collect: Yelets
g. Buy Jetpack from Steampunker
h. Steamroll Skeletron
i. Rescue Mechanic, Goblin Tinkerer, & Wizard ALL IN THE PRE-HM DUNGEON
j. Buy: Tinkerer's Workshop, Crystal Ball, Ice Rod, Mechanic's Rod (Opt.), etc.
k. The rest of Hardmode you can follow on my [Master Mode Guide]
2. My Master Mode guide has the classic "Ocean ASAP for fishing" strategy.
a. However, to deal with Evil biomes, place a bridge over them (use Hay, Dirt, etc.) and you can avoid most of the enemies.
3. You can easily fight the Empress of Light with my (Ningishu's) strategy in the Daytime, get the Terraprisma, and steam roll the rest of the game.
4. Get the Magic Missile as soon as you can; I promise it will take care of the rest of Pre-Hardmode for you.
a. Just fight WoF with Demon Scythe or something else.
5. Use my Cavern Farm #1 for an early Blade Staff in Hardmode.
a. Much less time-consuming than Cavern Farm #2.

But hey! I'll take any more tips and see if I can get them on here!
Just double-check "Tips & Tricks" - if you haven't already - to see if your ideas aren't already written.

Thanks for the message!

You forgpt about the clothier voodoo doll summoning method for Skeletron. And the mixed class for the Twins
1. Note taken, I added the Clothier Voodoo Doll method at the bottom.
2. I don't have a mixed class for everything on purpose; only for those where the best weapons you can use aren't all the same type.
a. For example, if the best weapons are all range, then I highlight range as the easiest class.
b. But on the other hand, if the best weapons have some range and some magic, then I put them into a separate category (mixture). Pair up the Megashark with Golden Shower and you got the classic "mixture."
