Video Terraria Challenge: Hardcore, Master Mode, "For The Worthy" Challenge!

Greetings everyone,

I am currently taking on the toughest challenge on Terraria, which involves using a Hardcore character only in a Master Mode world which has the “For The Worthy” seed. This is the hardest character difficulty, world difficulty and world seed possible, without adding any additional challenges. I immediately lose if I get vanquished at any point during the challenge.

This is the challenge broken down:
Hardcore: Hardcore is the hardest character difficulty. The character only has a single life. If the character is vanquished at any point, it will be permanent and the character will not respawn.
Master Mode: Master Mode is the hardest world difficulty. All enemies deal much more damage and have much more health, some enemies and bosses have better Al along with different attacks, and some world dangers are even more of a danger.
“For The Worthy”: This is the toughest secret world seed possible. In this secret world seed, enemies deal even more damage and have even more health, most bosses have new attack patterns and size changes, and unique world dangers are present, such as lava being present from any layer and lit bombs sometimes appearing from trees or pots.

Character Stats and Classes
During this challenge, I will have specific character classes, which will have a large impact on the items and effects that I will make use of. I am not limited to any of these classes and can use other items and effects at any time, and I am even allowed to change classes at any time and for any reason if I would like to.

Character Difficulty: Hardcore.
Regular Class: Endurer.
As a Endurer, I aim to reduce as much damage as I can manage, completely avoid damage where possible and to have effects that trigger when I take damage for additional protection, extra firepower while fighting, or an easier escape if I need to retreat.
  • I will make use of shield (damage reduction) effects to greatly reduce any damage that I do take. If I have plenty of shields available, I will be able to reduce significant amounts of damage, which will make it much easier to survive, even during tough situations. Even having minor amounts of shield will be great as I can survive even otherwise fatal hits and it will give me an opportunity to escape.
  • I will aim to avoid damage and take no damage where possible, or to avoid taking further damage when taking damage. I will be able to avoid damage by making use of dodges, blocking or parrying damage, or teleporting and recalling away and I can avoid taking further damage by being immune to knockback, improving my damage immunity, or teleporting and recalling away. I can use weapons and effects that provide barriers to assist me with avoiding damage or taking further damage.
  • In situations where I do take damage, I will use some effects that trigger when I take damage to protect myself, to gain extra firepower during a difficult fight or to escape more easily if needed. This could allow me to survive longer in a fight in many situations. I will generally never aim to activate these effects intentionally, except under controlled conditions where I may get benefit out of them.
Weapon Class: Gladiator.
As a Gladiator, I aim to specialise in using Melee weapons, which are weapons that are generally limited to closer ranges and that do not consume ammunition or mana to use. I will pioritise making use of melee and universal buffs and will aim to get plenty of use from the effects of my melee weapons.
  • I will use all types of Melee weapons, including Swords, Spears, Flails, Yoyos, Boomerangs and all other weapons that are considered to be Melee. During this challenge, I will be treating Whips as Melee weapons, despite dealing summon damage, as they have short range like other Melee weapons, benefit my desired weapon stats and they benefit from some melee boosts. I will be treating any weapon that consumes no ammunition or mana as a Melee weapon during this challenge as a Melee weapon, even if it does not deal Melee damage.
  • I will make use of any boosts to weapons that I get, especially if they are melee or universal boosts, as well as making use of effects that I gain from particular melee weapons, during combat. This will allow me to improve the effectiveness of my weapons and will make them more powerful, which can be especially useful during intense fights.
  • I am not limited to which weapons I use, and I will use any types of weapons without restriction. I will mainly use Melee weapons, although I will use Ranged, Magic and Summon weapons on occasion, especially as some of these weapons will boost some of my desired weapon stats or will allow me to execute some combos.
Desired Weapon Stats: Suppression, Afflict, Precision.
These are the main stats that I want to improve to make my weapons and attacking effects more powerful. I will aim to improve the effectiveness of my weapons overall, but these following stats are my most desired.
  • I will make use of Suppression, which allows me to use multiple weapons or effects that deal additional damage at a time, and weapons that can be used at the same time as my regular weapons, which will allow me to focus fire on a single enemy, attack multiple enemies at the same time, or it will give me protection from enemies even when I am negated from attacking normally. This will prove to be really useful for crowd control when enemies are swarming.
  • I will use Afflict to deal constant debuffs to my enemies, which will deal constant lingering damage over time, will reduce their defense or will confuse them allowing for an easier fight or escape. I will improve my afflicting capabilities by inflicting these debuffs on many enemies at a time, inflicting multiple different debuffs at the same time and maintaining the debuffs on enemies for as long as possible.
  • I will use Precision to improve the critical strike chance for most of my weapons, which greatly improves my damage and knockback every time I successfully land a critical hit. As I will generally be using multiple weapons at a time, I will successfully deliver critical hits on my enemies much more frequently, improving my potential damage and crowd control capabilities.
World Stats
These are the stats that will apply in my original world. These stats will not apply to any worlds that I make in the future as part of the challenge.
World Difficulty: Master Mode.
World Seed: “for the worthy”.
World Size: Medium.
World Evil: Random.

Rules
I will be playing with these rules at all times during this challenge, until I meet all of the official win conditions.
  • I must always use my Hardcore character during this challenge, and play in my Master Mode and “For The Worthy” worlds. I cannot use any unassociated characters in my Master Mode and “For The Worthy” worlds for any reason and I cannot use my Hardcore character in any unassociated worlds.
  • I can normally only have a single world for this challenge, however if I defeat all of the Mechanical Bosses, I am allowed to create an additional world for resource gathering and other reasons, however it must be a Master Mode and “For The Worthy” world and the original world evil must be the opposite to the original world evil in my first world.
  • It is forbidden for me to use any mods, cheats, hacks or anything similar to these during this challenge for any reason, and I am prohibited from making any edits to the character or world under any circumstances. I am unsure of how to do any of these so this rule will be greatly easy for me to follow. No cheating of any kind is allowed, but I am allowed to use glitches that are actually in the game if I desire.
  • I officially win the challenge if I achieve all of the win conditions and no longer need to follow any rules as a result.
Win Conditions
This is a greatly difficult challenge, and even getting to Hardmode or simply beating a single boss during this challenge would be such an achievement in itself! However, if I progress very far, here are the official win conditions I aim to achieve before I have officially won this challenge:
  • Defeat the Moon Lord.
  • Own 25 or more different boss relics and have them placed.
  • Own 1000 or more enemy banners, duplicates are included.
  • Complete 90% or more of the Bestiary.
  • Have all possible allies living in houses.
  • Complete each non-weather event and invasion once or more.
  • Explore each biome at least once, including artificial biomes.

Good luck, I did this not too long ago and I'd definitely recommend being tanky just to avoid just getting one-shot by everything in hardmode. You can never be too careful.
 
Great idea! I intend to improve my shield (damage reduction) capabilities so that I do not get vanquished in one hit, and I also intend to improve my dodging capabilities. I'll see how I go first.
