There are no mobs, items or anything in Terraria that reference bears.
Except for a cosmetic, the Panda Ears.

Anyway, I came up with some suggestions with bear content.

- MOBS -
Polar bears could spawn in the snow biome in Hard-mode, as an enemy.
They would have a rare chance to drop "Bear Claws".

The Bear Claws are like the Fetid Baghnakhs, but give frozen debuff.

We have honey, don't we?
What if we could make a grizzly bear appear with it?

In the forest biome, when leaving a new item "Honey Cake" on the ground, a grizzly bear could appear.
When getting close, he would thank us for the honey by giving us a "Bear Hug".
After the bear hug, golden critters will appear more often for about 20 minutes.

With jungle bamboo, we could do something similar and summon a panda bear.
He could give us a bamboo sword, or something.

You can combine honey with purple dye to summon him.
He will come thinking that you are up to something evil. (Lore of the game)
Then you will have a fight with him and he will drop several items when deffeated.

She would work similar to the Don't Starve axe, but less annoying.
She would speak from time to time and would serve as an accessory that gives extra inventory storage.
* Barren Cape *
Accessory that allows you to do a belly attack against the ground by pressing down twice.
Also, let you perform dashes.
* The Kernel *
A magical weapon in the form of a cube that shoots purple beams.
