PC Terraria has no Sound

Dear Forum,

I recently downloaded Terraria v1.3.5.3 after not having played for over a year and have run into a difficult issue. For some reason, Terraria does not play any sound whatsoever.
I am using Windows 10 and have attempted several things including:

• Reinstalling Terraria,
• Deleting a "config.json" file from Documents\My Games\Terraria,
• Attempting to update audio drivers, and
• Trying every option under the advanced tab of my audio device management.

I think that's everything I've done so far. My computer is unmuted, the Terraria volume setting is not 0 (and does not set itself to 0), so I'm not sure what else I can try.


If anyone has a suggestion that might fix this, could they please tell me?
