Terraria have 5403 items, and 4989 (92,32%) of them are renewable. All of them can be obtained using world like this and 10 items

A renewable item is an item that can theoretically be obtained in unlimited quantities within a single world without using glitches (including transmutation!). The original idea came after watching a video about the smallest possible Minecraft world where all renewable items could be obtained, and it was based on my work for yet another skyblock

During this research, I had to check every item in the game for renewability. The results of my research can be found in this sheet (I’d be happy if you could spot any mistakes in it). The weakest points of Terraria in terms of items "renewability" are hellstone, anything related to the golem dungeon, regular dungeon bricks, and paintings

Actually, the title is a lie because the reality is much more complex. At the very least, Terraria actually have 5455 items, but 52 of them are either unobtainable or only exist technically (such as hearts, mana stars, and some projectiles). Also, the number of renewable items depends on the world difficulty:
  • Classic – 4716
  • Expert – 4831
  • Master – 4891
Also, many secret seeds make some items renewable. Analyzing them separately would create too many overlaps and extra subcategories and it’s not very practical, so I combined all seeds into one big category: "Get fixed boi", including 89 items

ALSO, there are 2 items exclusive to multiplayer (which are renewable btw), and 7 items that stop being renewable at a certain stage of the game. For example, the Bone Key can’t be obtained after killing Skeletron because the Dungeon Guardian stops spawning after that event

In any case, all the items mentioned above can be obtained using just 10 starting items. Honestly, I'm not sure how optimal this combination of items is. The most questionable item here is the Bottomless Water Bucket. I initially added it to give players a source of renewable blocks (water + shimmer = aether blocks). But in theory, the player could manage without the bucket—though that would require either using indestructible blocks for building or enabling Christmas. Alternatively, one could use TEdit to mark the Moon Lord as defeated, allowing the Bottomless Shimmer Bucket to be converted into a Bottomless Water Bucket, but that feels like cheating to me

I won’t explain the purpose of every item and block on this map here because I made a separate document for that. This also include a walkthrough guide for the map. The only thing worth noting is that in a "Get fixed boi" world the number of required items drops to 9 (fertilizer are no longer needed). The reasons are explained in the same document

You can play the resulting map on Steam or CurseForge. There are 4 versions for each difficulty mode (including Legendary). Despite the original concept, I tried to make this map as enjoyable as possible. That’s all from me, now I’m off to wait for version 1.4.5, which will ruin all my work
