What is The Pyramid: Ultimate?
The Pyramid: Ultimate is an indie and roguelike roulette challenge game. In short, it's an objective randomizer in the form of a card game, for a wide selection of games.
If you own Tabletop Simulator on Steam, you can check it out and add it to your subscriptions here: Steam Workshop::The Pyramid: Ultimate
If you don't, there is also a FREE standalone version of the program you can download here: The Pyramid: Ultimate by Olexa

That's Pyramid out of the way, now onto the mod for it!

What is the Terraria Journey Expansion?
This is a deck of 50 customized objective cards focused on the base game of Terraria (Version 1.4.0.5+).

The deck includes:
21 Primary Cards
5 Hard Primary Cards
21 Secondary Cards

3 Curse Cards
All with a custom-made card back, to match the other games in The Pyramid.
But Why Journey Mode?
Simple: short play sessions.
As Pyramid runs normally draft 1-5 games, though I recommend 3 (where Terraria could be chosen for all of them), the intention is to play on Journey Mode, since it gives the player(s) a lot of freedom for these kinds of challenges. It allows most of them to be finished in around 1-2 hours, or more likely, less.

How to Play?
For each game you draft, a playthrough of the game is intended to use 1 Primary (green) card and 1-2 Secondaries (brown), unless playing Co-Op (together, not versus), where it's based on player count.
Each draft should start with a new Journey character in a new Journey world.
If you happen to draw a Curse card, you must draw another Secondary as well, but if you want to skip the Curse for a lower difficulty, feel free to ignore the Curse and just redraw.

(Here are some examples of a session, in both the Standalone app, and in Tabletop Simulator. The standalone app can only show 1 secondary at a time, but it can be clicked to reroll.)

Play solo!
Race against your friends!
Or cooperate to finish objectives together!

Hope you enjoy!

NB:
I don't have any coding background, so I have no way to automatically run checks for updates after the files are downloaded. :guidesad:
The download links will always lead to the most recently-uploaded zip file on my Google Drive, as shown by the version number on the file itself.
Keep up to date on any changes I make by following me on Twitter or Bluesky.

Not sure if it'd be better to upload a new post on the forum when it's ready or just edit this one, but...

The first MAJOR UPDATE is officially in the works for the Terraria Objective Randomizer! :steampunkerparty:

Changes in Version 1.1 will primarily focus on:

  • Improving replayability
  • Optimizing the balance of many objectives and
  • Adding 2 brand new Curses!
While the 50-card total won’t be changing, it will be better-split between the types of cards (Primary/Secondary/Curse).

If you're new to checking out this page, this update will be a lot for me to work on, so I don't have any kind of release window at the moment.
In the meantime, I hope you still enjoy the current version, and look forward to more in the future!

Stay tuned!
