Greetings Terrarians!

It's a big day for Console Terraria, so we wanted to be the first to share the exciting news with you...

As we shared a few weeks back, we have submitted Journey's End/1.4 for review on consoles! Now we will patiently await the results of the review process, fix any issues raised (and resubmit as necessary), etc. Once approved by Sony/Microsoft, we will be set to put the update in your hands! The timing of the review process is a bit unpredictable, so we cannot give you a specific "launch date" just yet - but this is the final development step before release!

Hang with us for just a bit longer as we navigate these final gates to bringing Journey's End to PlayStation and Xbox! As we know more/hear back during the process, we will keep you informed.
Hows the process coming for submission, im really excited and looking forward to 1.4 on console and i thought it would be done by now. Dont know if you will reply but its not the end of the world

Assuming no issues came up, I'm kind of wondering if Cyberpunk 2077 made the publication process a bit slower due to the backlash that happened with such a buggy game.

@Loki
Not sure if this has been asked before, and not to undermine the effort you must be going to in order to get us 1.4 on console, but if all goes to plan, how long do you estimate the "parity" update will take to release? Regardless keep up the hard work

Man, I can't wait till this releases!
Quick question though- I'm not sure if this was a feature or a bug, but sometimes when I open my inventory and try to move something, it wouldn't let me move anything. If it is a bug, is it fixed?
.
Oh yeah, this has happened to me several times, but usually I found it happens when I open and try to move something in my inventory right when I'm using an item. When I see it happening I usually close the inventory and wait for the animation to be done before attempting again, lol.

It’ll definitely be sometime next year all I can say unless somehow dr studios really works fast and releases 1.4.1 to mobile then to console which I doubt will be fast

Seriously? It's only been a month. Get over yourself. You act it's been several months. Be thankful you don't have to pay for the update. These wonderful people at DR Studios are offering this update to you FOR FREE! Oh yeah.... They're really robbing us by making us wait so that we can have an update that isn't full of bugs and glitches, not to mention crashes.

This comment is also for those who believe that this update isn't coming out fast enough. Let's see you come out with a game (From Scratch), that is free from bugs, glitches, or crashes, within the timeframe that YOU are putting on these people (Not to mention, having companies like Sony, Microsoft, as well as Nintendo checking your progress), meanwhile you have a lot of people impatiently waiting for an update. All this is on YOUR shoulders. If you think all of this is easy, then you need a reality check.

DR Studios are working hard at getting the update TO YOU, as soon as possible. And as they sit there, waiting for approval from Sony & Microsoft, you sit there and say that you feel almost robbed waiting this long.
This update was release on pc 1 year ago

I am a Xboxone and NS player. I wonder if my savedate from 1.35 will still be there when I upgrade to 1.4. thanks
Your save data will be converted to be compatible with 1.4, but your original saves will not be removed:

Do note, however, that the transfer system does not actually remove or alter the original saves - so you will not lose those, they just won't be playable in 1.4. This is potentially something that can be explored later on if it is an area of huge community need - but this is the scenario for launch.

Don't know yet - when it starts is sorta predicated on when Switch is done. When we have a better sense, we will share it.

Parity update will absolutely be a 2022 thing, not 2021.

Does Sony and Microsoft review it on weekends or sit it only week days

Pretty sure only weekdays.

@Loki
Do we have an estimated time period for mobile 1.4.1? I assume it will be beginning of 2022 if console is a ”2022 thing” — or at least I hope.

A launch date has been set for Journey's End to arrive on Xbox and PlayStation - September 30th!

Please read more and continue the discussion in the new thread here:
