Linux Terraria Lag

My laptop is pretty powerful, capable of running modded Minecraft and recording it simultaneously without any major lag issues. But Terraria, after the update, lags like crazy. I've done some googling on how to fix it, and I've not figured anything out.

Does anyone know of any way to make it less laggy?

Have you tried turning frame skip from subtle(or off) to on? It could help

I tried changing it to off, but not to on, I think.

I can try it again.

Edit: Seems to be helping. Not sure if totally solved, but thank you!
