There is smart and manual cursor modes in all console terraria versions.

I aint sure, if it does have press X by default to use (or possibly Y). If you want to be sure then look for Lock On in keybinds

You must have placed a target dummy or item frame, which must cause this. Since you dont often really use target dummys or item frames in a normal glitchlesd play, the developers probably missed that bug.
Use the #looking-to-play channel in the official discord to find someone to play with.
I don't have discord.

Hey, I’m here to ask a question.

So, I have Terraria on my Wii U and I was wondering if you guys added a transfer feature so I could import my character/world onto my Nintendo Switch.

Also I have not bought the game on the switch yet. I will if I can do this.

Also I’m signed in with the same Nintendo account I use on my switch and Wii u

You could always make an account, its not that hard, but instafiz also gave another option.

One question. How can play 2 people in a one console in Terraria in Switch? Please.
you cant rn, its being worked on.

I doubt they would do that, it would be hard. Creating a new world isnt that hard.

Why switch 1.3 version is released faster than mobile why:sigh::sigh::sigh:

Switch is different coding, probably faster. Mobile you have to deal with different screen sizes, and touch controls. Switch is more simple.
Another reason is that Pipeworks used to be in charge of the codebase for Mobile, until DR Studios eventually showed up late 2018 to take full control of handling Mobile, while Pipeworks continues to be in charge of Consoles, which includes the Switch version. ~:)

Ok so far I have 3 problems, but idk if they're exactly bugs or just something wrong with me. First problem is; when I try to make a new world on my switch it freezes half way through and I've even left it for 30 minutes and nothing changed.
Second problem is when I was finally able to make a world, I got into the world and after a few trees being cut down the game or the console will freeze, both have happened a few times even after turning my console off for the night and leaving it undocked.
The 3rd problem, which is also why I'm posting this here, is that when I click on the report bugs link on the news post of the switch version to report these issues it tells me the page doesn't exist.

Fix for the first should be in the patch coming up.

Not sure about the second, but hopefully so as well.

Bug Report link on page one works for me (just checked it)

Happy Switch Launch Day, Terrarians!

That’s right - at long last, Terraria will be available for Nintendo Switch starting today on the Nintendo eShop with a physical/retail release coming just a little further down the road. It has been a long journey to get to this point, so we want to take a few moments to thank the entire development team at Pipeworks, as well as all of those in production support, QA, and more at 505 Games (publishers of Terraria on console and mobile).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • This is a port of the existing PS4/X1 port of Terraria, we aren’t supporting any console features that existed before our 1.3.0.7 port.
  • Turning on autopause will disable build mode. If you want to be able to use build mode in your inventory, you need to turn off Autopause in Settings
  • Some Switch features we talked about pre-launch weren’t quite ready for prime-time, and we’re going to talk about them in future updates. These include:
  • Local docked split-screen
  • Local wireless multiplayer

TOUCH SUPPORT DETAILS

  • Under Settings in the Main Menu, and in the in-game Settings Menu, you can access a list of Touch Controls you can use in Terraria, including:
    • While in-game, you can pinch the screen to zoom in and out
      • Fair warning - this also uses your currently selected item, so make sure you don’t have a consumable selected!
  • You can zoom all the way out to the full-screen map this way
  • You can tap the screen to use / place items
  • We’ve also added a zoom magnifier to help you see where you’re touching!
  • You can tap the minimap to bring up the fullsize map
  • You can also tap and drag the fullsize map to pan around
  • You can tap and drag items around the Inventory and Equipment screen. Double-tapping an item in the inventory will enter build mode with it if applicable.
  • In build mode you’ll get a semi-transparent grid around your character for extra-precise placement, also a good reminder that you’re in build mode
  • You can double tap the Hotbar to open the Inventory
  • You can double tap to toggle Accessory visibility
  • You can tap buffs to cancel them, and most in-inventory/shop/chest functions are accessible with touch! Try tapping ‘Loot All’ instead of dragging the highlight all the way over there.
  • You can use touch to interact with the virtual keyboard as well.

HD RUMBLE
  • We’re proud to announce we’re shipping with some HD rumble support. Mining is a lot more fun when you can feel the pick strike the earth! If you don’t like this feature, you can de-activate it by navigating to the Switch Settings menu -> Controllers and Sensors and turning off Controller Vibration.

As always, should you run into any issues with Terraria on Switch, we would ask that you utilize the link below to file your report. This is the fastest and cleanest way to get your report directly to the development team. The team will be keenly observing all reports and will get all over any needed fixes immediately.

We hope you share our immense excitement for this day and the potential that Terraria has on Switch. We feel like the Switch platform was almost tailor-made for a game like Terraria, and we are beyond excited to see what everyone creates and does on this new console!
How long will it take for splitscreen?

World corruption? For such a game that has its gameplay based on the world that you generate, I do hope this gets fixed, especially to those who insisted on still buying the game even with the hefty additional price.

I'm very happy that Terraria is finally on switch. I have one problem though (as I'm sure someone already pointed out). Whenever I create a Large World, I start it, and at least 2 minutes or so into the game it freezes. I hope that someone is working on a fix to this.

Good afternoon, Terrarians!

I'm here to advertise my newest thread: The Boss Help Room!
If anyone needs help with a boss, or is willing to help with bosses, please submit your questions/answers in my thread.
There is also a poll that you may want to answer.

You can find my page here.

Why can I not play in splitscreen local with a second player
