PC terraria loads in background and freezes pc every couple of secounds

as stated in the title whenever I load terraria it loads in the background and starts freezing my pc I have tried reinstalling terraria but it has not worked. does anyone know how to fix this problem
 
Hello, could I get two screenshots from you? Perform the following:

  • Press Windows+R
  • Type msinfo32
  • Screenshot the window that comes up, this is the first one I need.
  • Press the plus button next to "Components".
  • Click on "Display"
  • Screenshot this one too, this is the second screenshot I need.
Some additional questions, is this a new problem? Has Terraria functioned fine in the past?

Well there is no hardware reason for this to be happening. If you could answer some questions for me:

  • Is this a new problem? Has Terraria functioned fine in the past?
  • What do you mean when you say "it loads in background"?
  • Any other games you played very recently? Do they do they same thing?
  • Do you have the Steam version or the GoG version?
  • When you get the freezing issue in Terraria could you press ctrl+shift+esc and screenshot the task mangers resources? Let's make sure they are not getting bogged down.
 
1) I have had other problems in the past but this one is new
2) it loads but can only be seen on background processes on task manager
3) no other games have done this
4) steam
5) will get the screenshot when able
 
Does a game window ever get created or does it stay in the background forever?
 
it stays in the background forever

If you run the TerrariaServer.exe file located in your install directory does it say anything unusual? Does it let you set up and run a server?
 
Well, tell me if the issue happens again. Something tells me this isn't over quite yet.
