PC Terraria not launching?

Whenever I attempt to launch the game it opens Microsoft installer, I've tried checking file integrity via steam and it always shows up with 1 file being missing/broken and doesn't correct itself. pls help

Hey @bl19dragon, sorry to hear you're having issues.

Could you make a screenshot of the installer window you're seeing?

That looks like the XNA installer is not running properly. Could you do the following?

1. Right click Terraria in your Steam Library and click Manage > Browse local files. A folder should open.
2. In this folder, find the xnafx40_redist file.
3. Try and run this file manually.
