Terrarian
Any time I try to play terraria, I get the error:

No suitable graphics card found.
Could not find a Direct3D device that supports the XNA Framework Reach profile.
Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed.
Make sure the desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full screen mode.
Avoid running under Remote Desktop or as a Windows service. Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full

I have legitimately tried anything and everything I can think of, or find, anywhere, and everywhere. Please help this is extremely infuriating

Hello @cheaterr, sorry to hear you're having issues.

Could you tell me which graphics card(s) your computer has?

Also it is good to know which processor is used as there may be some communication issues between CPU and GPU

I tried opening terraria again today and now It just goes to a black screen and won't load???
My graphics cards are:
Intel(R) UHD Graphics v26.20.100.7985
Nvidia GeForce MX230

My processor is:
Intel(R) Core i7 10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz

I am on a laptop, which may lead you to believe that is why terraria doesn't work but it has worked in the past until last Saturday. Also, I should meet the minimum requirements.

That might be a driver issue. Did you recently install any Windows updates?

Shortly after I noticed the Issue I checked for and Installed updates, the next day after nothing was working I replaced both drivers, but they seem to have rolled back?

Update: after trying again, after about 20-30 seconds of the not responding black screen, terraria starts but is very very laggy. About a minute later my entire computer freezes. At this point I'd think it is just a hardware error, but many other games run perfectly fine.

Could you try the following:
  1. In your Steam Library, right click Terraria and select Properties....
  2. In the General tab, under Launch Options, add the following: -logerrors -logfile

  3. Close the window, then launch Terraria.
  4. Once Terraria reaches the main menu, let it run for a couple of seconds, then exit.
  5. Go to Documents/My Games/Terraria/Logs and upload the most recent log to this thread.
This may give me some more insight into what is going on.

Hm, it seems like Terraria itself is not reporting any issues. Could you try running the game in windowed mode to see if you get the same issue? If you can't do it via the menu due to the freezes you can do so by modifying your config.json in your Documents/My Games/Terraria folder: simply change the line "Fullscreen": true, to "Fullscreen": false,.

It was already set to false when I opened up the document, but when I open terraria, it opens in fullscreen.

I see. Could you also set the following and try again:
JSON:
  "WindowMaximized": false,
  "WindowBorderless": false,

After I did that It did make it windowed, but it was very laggy and on the Re-Logic logo it froze again.

Alright, the fact that that does not make a difference, that it freezes your entire PC and that Terraria does not log any issues makes me think it is indeed a GPU issue.

Could you try installing and running tModLoader? It uses a different graphics library, so it may work better for you.

The same thing happens with tModLoader.

That is a shame. Unfortunately, I don't really know what else to suggest: your GPU may be the culprit, but it could also be an issue with .NET and/or your system files. I'm afraid I can't give you any better news than that. :(
