Please help if possible, thank you for your time reading this.

It looks like your graphics drivers are faulting. Do the following for me:

  • Press Windows+R.
  • Type "msinfo32" without the quotes and press enter.
  • Screenshot the window that comes up and upload it somewhere I can view it.
  • Press the "plus" button next to Components.
  • Click on "Display".
  • Screenshot this window as well and upload it somewhere I can view it.
Then I can grab the driver you need and tell you how to do a clean install of your graphics drivers.

Follow these steps to perform a clean reinstall of your Nvidia Drivers:

  • Uninstall your old drivers from the Control Panel. Search Nvidia to see all related driver components as shown below.
STe7JRl.png

  • After you have uninstalled those driver packages you screen will momentarily go black, do not be alarmed it will come back.
  • Download and run the setup of your new drivers.
  • When installing, scan each screen carefully before clicking "next" you're looking for a checkbox that says "Clean Installation".
Check to see whether you can launch Terraria, and if you can't, if the error from the event viewer is the same.

did everything you said and its still saying the same thing.

Do any other games crash? Also what is your driver type? You can find this here: locate Driver Type under the System Information menu in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

No other games crash this one only, like it doesn't show any part of the game only 'Preparing to launch on steam' than it shows on my task manager for 2 seconds and closes. My driver type is; DCH.

Oh you're DCH I got you the wrong driver version, that's my bad. HERE is the correct driver. Use the same steps as before to clean install the correct driver. Let me know if it still doesn't work.

thank you so much its fixed, what I did was I did a complete driver uninstall and complete uninstall of terraria with my iobit uninstaller app, than I reinstalled my drivers and reinstalled terraria, now it works just fine :) thank you so much for your help
