PC Terraria pc lag issues - please help.

Hi and greetings.

I recently have tried playing terraria on my new pc and, to my surprise it runs terribly. My android version runs better as does my ps4 version.

It lags in every new area. Jumps from 60 frames to 0 frames and quite frankly, runs luke general garbage. I've tried every single fix I could find on Google - frameskip settings, deleting configuration files, task manager priorities and cpu / gpu usage - you name it, I tried it. Specs are below, but I'm at my wits end here. Terraria has never run this bad before on a modern system and there's no way I'm going to throw more money at upgrades to make terraria run better.

CPU: Ryzen 5 7900x
GPU: Nvidea 3040 12 gb
Ram: 64 GB 6000mhz
Hdd: 2 TB with 1.2 TB free.

So... what rhe hell is wrong. Is it me? Am I the idiot or is there an issue with Terraria needing more specs than Helldivers 2 at max settings?

Do you have any resource packs enabled? You can view them under Workshop from the main menu.
Additionally, you should go to the game's properties in Steam and add -logerrors -logfile to the launch options, then run the game and post the log file in Documents/My Games/Terraria/Logs.
