Hello all,
I've been trying to set up a Dedicated Terraria Server from my laptop but have been running into some problems.
I've set up a static IP address and have updated my Router's settings to properly Port Forward the default 7777 port for the server. In addition to this, I've set an inbound rule in my Firewall's (Window's Defender Firewall) Inbound settings, allowing for port 7777 to be accessible.
However, even with this setup, I'm still getting a notification saying that Port 7777 is 'closed' on my Public IP address. And my friends are stuck on 'Connecting...' when trying to join the server. (I should note that I do have the server running on my computer while the test is going so that it'll be listening at Port 7777)
Any help would be super appreciated!
Thanks,
Asher
- I've included some photographs of all the necessary info for ya'll to see.
Here's my CMD Prompt showing my Static IPv4 address.
Router Settings accessed through Google Chrome. The Port is forwarded to my Static IPv4 address.
Inbound Settings on Windows Defender Firewall.
I've been using 'YouGetSignal' to test and see if the Port is open; As you can see from the image it is still saying that Port 7777 is closed. (I've hidden my Public IP for safety reasons)
