You should make it so the end of the staff has the blue design, and you should make the blue thicker and more bulbous to add a mythical ancient look. Also, reduce the saturation, as it would look foggy, fog being a form of water.

I've recently made several sprites and I've wanted to post 'em here.

The first and second sprite is a SANTA-NK1 revamp, and took me about 40-60 mins:

The last sprite I've made took me a measly 5 minutes, probably less:

And I just can't compare it to SANTA-NK2.
