Terraria State of the Game - December 2024

as usual, lots of amazing works of art, i don't even know if i can offer anything to say about individual ones, i feel like i keep repeating myself.

i'm not really sure i get the skyblock seed, though... what is it? was it ever explained?

is it just a seed that takes place exclusively in the sky? if so, how will everything work?

also, still not a fan of palworld or its developer... people in the west might view them as a victim, but as far as i can tell, japanese fans side with nintendo cause pocket pair does have a history of blatantly copying nintendo's and even other indie games' ideas... they're not as innocent as people in the west think they are.

Before 1.2, I remember hearing talk about the Frost Legion getting its missing fourth member added, which was a snowman with a dynamite.
I'd love to see it. Even if the Frost Moon completely eclipses the Legion, I still think it can have a place in this game (especially since its a requirement for Santa moving in).

Skyblock was an old trendy minecraft challenge where you start on a floating block in an empty world and have to build outwards from there using the extremely limited resources you have access to. The terraria version is based on that but is going to have some changes to make it less grindy.

You clearly missed my post on the first page lol. You don't need tModLoader to play 1.3 or any of these versions of 1.3.x.x listed below. In addition to that, Depot Downloader (which has a thread dedicated to it on these very forums) also allows the user to play older versions ("downgrade") of Terraria including 1.3.x. Tool - TerrariaDepotDownloader - Downgrade To ANY Version! So...to reiterate, you do NOT need tModLoader to play 1.3. Lastly, to be clear, I love tModLoader, so please don't think I'm disparaging it. I'm simply pointing out that it is easily possible to play a vanilla version of 1.3.

Everyone please were all friends here, and I thought Decemebr SOTGs werent a thing unless me readign that somewhere was my mind tricking me or the stress of this crappy month was makign false memoris, regardless, fair do your working on the SKyblock seed concept so tis less grindy, its a fun challenge on MineCraft but obivously on Terraria its gonna be different sicne MineCrafts 3 dimensions whilst Terrarias 2, also youve released 1.2.4 nice, making me wanna play the old Legacy Console Terrarria, now that you mentioned it, dont worry Im not asking on a release date, its ready when its ready, though I kinda wanna see the behind the scenes stuff on what goes on in the background for the development as in seeign you guys working on the game beghind the scenes and what you guys do, cause the technical side fascinates me, and again it is sad we lost Leinfors we have a good man, and his presence helped immensely with the QA, losing him is a major setback in both regards, but hopefully with the programming and testing itll be up to scratch, and well for the Mobile and Consoles Sony, Nintendo and whatnot need to test and verify and approve it so if they find anything that gets the approval rejected you can at least address that and maybe fix any bugs that might come up that might have escaped your radar, speakign of bugs, Loki, how many have you guys found so far?
