As far as I know they haven't actually called any update a "final update" since 1.4.1. It was mostly something the community made up and the devs never actually stated anywhere after that point.
Similarly, the only "final update" before 1.4 was 1.1. They did not refer to 1.2 or 1.3 or any of their minor patches as final updates either as far as I recall.

I think it goes along the line of "Every update is the last... until it isn't."

Yeah, 1.2 was never stated to be a final update. One of the patches in the mid 1.3s implied some sense of finality I think but it was never directly called the final update either.

These past few updates have been released simultaneously through all platforms. Last time PC got an update first and consoles later was what, 1.4? It’s been at least 4 years ago sincequestion for devs do you guys estimate that the update will be Available for the Nintendo switch 1

I think the ones who will see this 1.4.5 coming will be my grandchildren... they will be able to enjoy the update....

Please do not create expectations that there may be a release date this month.... The disappointment can be great.

I just don’t understand why you can’t tell us what’s taking so long, that’s the transparency I want. I don’t want two spoilers a month, followed by paragraphs of other various content, but actual information on the game. I don’t even want more spoilers, I’m not here for the spoilers, I just wanna know why it’s taken two more years than planned for this update to come out.
I don’t care about waiting, I don’t care if they chose to add more crossovers, I don’t care if you don’t have a release date, I do care, however, when devs lie to their players, I do care when we are stringed along, month after month, with false hopes of “almost there,” I do care when you repeat the same bland excuse every month. We know you don’t cut corners, you don’t have to force that down our throats every SOTG, instead, why not tell us what the corners are?
I would gladly wait a decade for an update, so long as I was well informed as to why it was a necessity for me to do so. I don’t believe Re-Logic has provided anyone with that information, and until they do so, I don’t believe anyone is going to be satisfied. I’m not looking for metrics, I’m not looking for data, I’m just looking for honesty, something to show us that the time taken will actually be for the benefit of the game and the players, and not something done for the sake of doing it.
This isn’t directing anger at anyone, I love the devs and all the admins here, but it’s starting to feel like my love is being taken advantage of. I’m not trying to point fingers or say names, I just really want something other than “be a little more patient, guys.”
