Would definitely be cool! But assuming we haven't heard anything. Probably not. Isaac has lots of content to offer for a game like Terraria though.

There is not going to be any BOI crossover in 1.4.5. 1.4.5 as it stands now is heading into submissions. Just to be clear on that front.
Any future crossover stuff would have to come in later updates.

I'm very happy to know that the update is being sent for submissions, but I believe that in the case of Terraria, this submissions could take several weeks.

hi loki! im genuinely curious, how and when would we learn of an official release date? obviously we would probably learn of the release date when it is confirmed with everyone, so theres really no way of knowing WHEN it'd be announced, but would it be its own non-state of the game post on the forums or would one of you announce it on social media? i just wanna know what to look out for

There's no need to apologize, as this wasn't a question for the developers either. It's just speculation about what might or might not appear in 1.4.5. The TBOI crossover was simply one of the possible options, and I was betting on something similar to the Stardew Valley crossover, small and added without notice.

Another thought. We already know that the "Slime" debuff will become functional and increase vulnerability to fire damage (by the way, I wonder if there will be a flask for this debuff), so now the question is:
Will slime-type enemies naturally take increased fire damage? Aside from exceptions like Lava Slimes and Sand Slimes.

i love binding of isaac, and i'd definitely be into a crossover for a future update.
i could see mom's knife being a potential weapon, maybe a boomerang-esque dagger?

I feel like we'll be left to theorise about this until a trailer and/or release date drops. It feels unlikely, but never say never.

Which doesn't have anything to do with the version number of course, but it is interesting that there's something they want to be this secretive about until this late into development.
