That leads us to the third topic - one that we all know and love - planning for things like first party submissions and any additional work needed by our global partners in order to enable a global sync launch. To put it mildly and not to bore anyone with the details, there are a LOT of moving parts and interdependencies that we have to manage in this process. It is also not a very quick system to navigate and it comes with a lot of unknowns (you can never say what a given first party might take issue with... requiring additional fixes... and another round of submissions). We do have a plan in place, if all goes perfectly to schedule, for when those submissions might occur. Beyond that, it is honestly a wild card as to how long it takes - a wild card with some reasonable boundaries, but still a wild card. Toss in the Holidays for everyone involved (e.g. at some point, the first party reviewers are gone for the year), and it gets even messier.
With all of that said, we are realistically looking at a launch window for Terraria 1.4.5 that is between mid December and the end of January.
It is impossible to predict at this point where things will fall in that window. There are far too many moving parts that could break either for us or against us to say at this time. However, we do feel good about the time window itself.
Again, we are very aware that this update has taken far too long to reach completion - all we can do is share our apology for that time span and just know that we are doing our best to get it out as quickly as we can. We also cannot wait to share the plans for the future as well, once the update is out and all fixed up post launch.
... You're not even getting this update out this year? At best it's a maybe? How absolutely, unbelievably pathetic.
If angry looks could bankrupt, y'all'd be learning what Retail work life is like. I'm pretty sure these days that any person who tried to use 'Re-Logic' as a work reference would be laughed out of their interview. If I ever worked like you folks do, I'd've been forcibly unemployed over a decade ago. You're never on time. You never stick to your own words and promises. You can't make a sequel, and now you've proven that you have absolutely no idea how to, or why to, separate updates.
How long does this bring the time-total to? About 3 years and 4 Months since the last content update? Of course, this is assuming that you won't do what you literally always do, and just push it back even further. You have a rising group of upset customers, sick of waiting and listening to y'all make excuses. Instead of ever learning anything, you just keep doing the same old S$%! as always.

No you're not, you're not at all. 'Sorry' would mean you would try something different, 'Sorry' would mean you would recognize your mistakes and do something- anything -about them. You're all determined to sell people on the idea of features that most people will never remember, much less ask for. 'Simultaneous Release'? Who the hell is going to remember "
That one time where that 'Legendary' Company 'Re-logic' managed to release a game everywhere at the same time. Man, we're never going to stop praising these people for doing one complicated thing, one time, making everyone wait even longer than anyone should have to, and bathing themselves in praise over it. Absolute Legends."
Multiple languages? Only 10 years later than would be reasonable for a successful game. An apology? There is no apology you can make that would be acceptable, this ain't the first time y'all've done this; certainly won't be the last time. Gods above, how about y'all just learn to be like literally every other developer in history, and make multiple updates, rather than trying to one-and-done your update?
Ah, who am I kidding, that'll never happen. But hey, there is an upside! .. I get to come back in another month and laugh at the latest delay.
My official prediction is an April of 2026 release date. Remember folks, they can't release an update until they've promised, or pushed their development window back at least 6 times.
See y'all next month for the latest update on their lack of updates!
