hey, i say take the extra time to implement the ideas you're all discussing, make this update as big as it can be before dropping it on us.

might as well, otherwise you're just gonna need to make another update that will inevitably grow larger than expected.

as for core keeper, i WANT to get it... but the switch version has been delayed like 2-3 times already... now it's not coming out til late october.

BionicBandit's art is very nice, that girl is delightful, i love her hairstyle and color.

Pretty sure it won't be. Having read through the SOTG, it's pretty clear they are quite a ways off. Some of their verbiage doesn't even make sense. For instance "As we mentioned in the opening of the State of the Game, the team has the final list in-hand - as well as a few possible additional things that we might include." How can the list be "final" if they are still deciding on possible additional things? If they decide to add a few things to their "todo" list, then it wasn't actually final. The definition of the word final is pretty concise. They also say that they "hope that it will not be too much longer before we can get and give a sense for timing." That doesn't mean until the update drops, but rather they hope that it won't take much longer before they can even give us an idea of when it will drop. Big difference.

I agree. I'd estimate December, somewhat optimistically. Based on the given info, the work isn't yet feature complete. So that's a chunk of time to finish it, and then presumably a bit more testing, and then it will need to be sent in and reviewed by console companies. So yeah... I'm just hoping that we might get it this year.

(Unless the SOTG is being used for misdirection to cover for a surprise release this week...)

So, that being the case, no spoilers from the PC side this month, I'm afraid.

This feels like the German joke that the ICE train to Berlin is missing the stop at Wolfsburg. The joke is that ICE trains (Germany's high-speed trains) often "miss" stopping at Wolfsburg, a city that's home to Volkswagen. Even though it's important, the trains sometimes skip it due to delays or schedule changes, turning into a running gag that makes it seem like Wolfsburg is regularly ignored. But with the destination Berlin we even faster come to our goal.

Was the GameBoy looking thing revealed before? I would count that as a spoiler. My guess is that it's a monolith.

There are currently two events in Terraria that occur depending on the time on the player's computer: Halloween and Christmas. Maybe it would be possible to make the grass and trees change their textures depending on the time on the computer too? In autumn, yellow, golden leaves. In winter...
