1.4.5 does seem like to be the last "content update", while we could get a few extra bits, it's likely that all will come after 1.4.5 is the crossplay update and
balance changes/hotfixes.

W post as usual. Remember yall no spoilers means they're running out of things to do. 1.4.5 is really close!

that is not at all what was said in the main post.

they said that they didn't want to spoil everything, they've revealed quite a lot of stuff, so far.

they also mentioned they're still debating whether or not they should continue adding more ideas that they have.

how do you come to the conclusion they're running out of things to add, when they said the exact opposite? :dryadwhat:

Is there something wrong with @Heroicis being optimistic? I mean, give the guy a break, his situation isn't the greatest right now, and optimism like that is absolutely fantastic. Don't think of it as "oh my gosh this update is taking so long I could go into a coma and get out before it releases", think of it as "Hey, Re-Logic is actually putting a lot of effort into this update, and crossplay afterwards as well! Can't wait!" :)

I wonder…

Maybe the use of “final list” is the source of my optimism?

if i missed something, fill me in, don't just assume i know.

It is! I actually should finish chemo at the end of February

oh... :red:.

well, now i feel like an :red:.

sorry about that. :dryadsad:

i just noticed the avatar... oh, right... i just remembered that character is getting added as a vanity outfit, right?

it's hard for me to remember everything, especially when the news is months apart.

maybe i need some time away from the internet, it really brings out the worst in me. %:sigh:

Don't worry, it happens to the best of us, just take a bit to ":sigh:" and ideally you'll be all good. :)

Yo guys, I get that some of you are upset that 1.4.5 is taking forever and that we haven't gotten anything this SOTG, I understand we all get a bit impatient at times.

Game development takes time even without all the additional content, Re-Logic is trying their hardest to work on 1.4.5 and by complaining about it taking too long, all you are doing is damaging the team's motivation to keep working on the update.

I know that they started from a simple crossover with Dead Cells only to evolve into something that can arguably be a bigger labour of love but remember this, be grateful for the amount of content we are getting, be happy that Re-Logic and Motion Twins are working together to bring content from their games and that both fans can cross together. Re-Logic is doing this for us fans and we should be glad to hear that, we should be glad that they are willing to add a vanity set in honour of someone currently battling a certain illness.

I know some people have already said this, but I suggest that you find something to keep yourself occupied, something like doing a Terraria playthrough (Vanilla or Modded), checking out Dead Cells or another game, talking to friends, family and community members, find a movie, series or book to invest into, there's many things to do.

At the end of the day, we are simply excited for the update, but we can't force Re-Logic to rush it unless you want a buggy and incomplete mess. Try to give them some time, remain calm and find something to do while waiting (Take deep breaths, listen to calm and relaxing music, go outside for some fresh air, etc.).

I concur, the guy speaks wise words, Im antsy myself and getting a ltitle impatient, but I dont want to annoy or bug the devs and possible get in trouble with them or the other forum staff or members, and upset them, and at the same time im excited for 1.4.5, even if it is the "final" update, using that term loosely cause theyve done this before to troll us in a good natured manner mind, but Ill be sad when its finished and theres no more updates, I do love this game, and Im gonna be sad when its complete as they sad, as for crossplay, it would be nice and im looking forward to it, but if its not possible for whatever reasons like technical reasons, its not the end of the world, but im sure they can work something out hopefully.

Nah dw about it I don’t want anyone treating me differently because I got cancer. Your argument is valid. I just prefer to be optimistic. 1.4.5 is coming November on my soul!

regardless, i probably should've been less aggressive with my point.

i don't mean to tear people down, i'm just not an optimistic person, i'm a realist on my best days, which are few and far between, and a pessimist the rest of the time.

anyway, if they do decide to put off some ideas for later to get the update out this year, i guess we'll be getting a 1.4.6 at some point down the road. :dryadtongue:

Just going to say that we will never be upset at folks that just want more Terraria - we never take it negatively nor does it put any undue pressure on us. Our mantra remains as it ever was - it will be ready when it is ready. That's served everyone pretty well for the last 13 years. ;)

Never douse that passion.

Just wanted to point that out amidst the discussion. :)

Sounds right, just remember that you guys don't have a time limit on development, keep working and don't let anyone's negativity take hold of you.
