We need a three-way crossover with both Sonic the restaurant and Sonic the Hedgehog collaborating with Terraria.

It's not exactly misinformation. Because the developers talked about this "final list of things", and so, it's only a matter of time before they announce that they will postpone the update again until next year. It was just a prediction, just wait for the next SoTG so you can see that I wasn't lying.
