Littlewood is a really fun game that really surprised me when I played it for the first time.
In the game you build your town, improve your character and your relationship with NPCs.
The game has some features that I consider interesting for Terraria.

- IDEA -
In Littlewood we can make NPCs accompany us wherever we go.
By performing certain actions, the NPC wo is following us can gain friendship points.
We can also talk and compliment the NPCs to earn friendship points.

In Littlewood, increasing friendship with an NPC only allows you to eventually date and marry them.
But for Terraria I propose that, when you reach different friendship levels, the NPC presents you with a special item.
I propose that the maximum friendship level is 100 and that every 25 levels the NPC gives you a special item.

- HOW IT WOULD WORK -
NPCs would now have a new button in their dialog windows, which would be: "Join Player"

The NPC would follow the player anywhere without a problem, it would be like Pets, but they can take damage and die.

Only one NPC could follow the player at the same time.

NPCs would gain friendship points by performing actions.
Actions such as: Killing enemies, mining, fishing, walking, visiting biomes, etc.

Some NPCs would gain more friendship points with certain actions associated with it.
For example, the Demolitionist would earn more from mining, the Angler would earn more from fishing.

To make an NPC stop following you, just click on the buff that will appear when an NPC is following you.

- REWARDS -
The prizes given by NPCs would be special items related to them.
It would be too long to mention 4 items for each NPC, so I will give some examples.
- Guide -
The Guide's fourth reward would be a consumable item: "Book: Crafting Guide".
This item adds a slot in the player's inventory which, when placing a material, would show everything that can be crafted with it.

- Angler -
Angler's fourth reward would be an Accessory: "Golden Hook".
This accessory could be combined with any Fishing Bobber and allows the player to fish any fishing item regardless of the biome or liquid.

- Party Girl -
Party Girl's fourth reward would be: "Ultra Sweet Cake".
Similar to the Cake she gives you during a party, but it grants the Sugar Rush Buff forever.

- Dryad -
Dryad's fourth reward would be: "Golden Tree Seed".
A seed that when growing will become a golden tree whose wood sells for 10 copper coins and its seed for 20 silver.
It would be the only wood that can be sold and would not be used in any craft.

- Merchant -
The Merchant's fourth reward would be to double the Traveling Merchant's chance of appearing.
