Needs more Red emotes.
Also, a set of Merchant emotes and a couple emotes of other NPCs would be cool too.

Guys do you have any idea why there is only 1-3 recent threads on the front page? Sorry for asking again but I really need a reply.

On a purely technical note, I've been on the forum mostly on my phone. Looking good so far! Is the mobile platform something the Terraria team handles or, if there are issues, would that be on Xenforo's end?

Just want to say again, this forum looks dope. Wish I could have been super active over launch weekend but hey, we've got years ahead of us here!

Xenforo handles it all; that said, there may well be tweaks that the admin staff could make in the settings to help customize the mobile interface to work better for TCF. Feel free to share any issues you find and we'll certainly look into them (there's a link to the bug report thread in my signature).

It could be better with Tapatalk support plugin, because push notifications. As far as I know I guess we only get push notifications via email from RSS. It's specially useful for mobile users and moderators that like surf on their smartphones.

Perhaps so, I know others have suggested this, and it's been passed on to the admin staff.

I'd like to push the idea of improving the thread options on the art section.

First off, I'd like to apologize for not thinking of this before the forum got released. But hey, better late than never right? ;-;

Anyways..
Right now we have two changeable options: Request Status and Conditions.
Currently it is pretty fine, but I feel it can be improved a bit more.

I suggest changing the name of Request Status to simply Status [because Request Status seems to make people imply that it applies to Requests]. This makes it broader and a lot less specific to Requests in particular.

I also suggest changing the conditions to allow users to check more than one: Requests, Commissions, Art Trades. Friends-only needs to be in the Status options instead.

To clarify, both fields would look like this:
Status:
Open ( )
On Hold ( )
Friends Only ( )
Closed ( )

Conditions [check box]:
Requests [ ]
Commissions [ ]
Art Trades [ ]

In my opinion, this makes for a lot less redundancy and more clarity than the current.

Oni, I made the first change.

The second one may be more challenging due to how multiple selections intersects with the search function. I'll poke around with it and see what can be done.

I recall on the brainstorming thread on TO, we were talking about tying name changes to the account so that one could see a user's previous identities and nobody could steal someone's previous username. Since Adam/Dettbizzle changed their name, I've noticed we don't have that feature. Could this be implemented at some point? I could ask Intra further details, if necessary.

Off Topic/Lack of content
Has anybody thought about increasing the recent threads appearing on the front page yet ;_;

Connections to TO are reliant on what we can get from Curse and the TO database. Also remember that TO runs ancient software that doesn't have a lot of the functionality available on modern xenforo platforms.

Connections to "every name someone has ever had", therefore, is unlikely to occur. Within reason, however, I am willing to block off names that could be - or are - being used in an impersonation sense.

No one should read that as "I can block any name desired" - any requests for such would be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Can we please make it so that =D doesn't turn into :joy:? You can use the noemote tag, but if you ever try to EDIT the post with the noemote tag, it will automatically turn your =D into :joy: within the post. It makes it a LOT of work to edit any posts which contain goto tags or spoilers that have anything that starts with a capitol D. I know this was gone over a lot when we were testing the forums, but I am getting really, really frustrated over this as of late.

Would it be possible to like things in PMs? I keep wanting to like things, and can't.
