Can we please make it so that :joy: doesn't turn into :joy:? You can use the noemote tag, but if you ever try to EDIT the post with the noemote tag, it will automatically turn your =D into :joy: within the post. It makes it a LOT of work to edit any posts which contain goto tags or spoilers that have anything that starts with a capitol D. I know this was gone over a lot when we were testing the forums, but I am getting really, really frustrated over this as of late.

Done. =D

I think the "Equipment" and "Items" sections of the suggestions forum should be merged. They're almost identical, and everyone posts things in the incorrect sections anyway.

Equipment is armor and item is any miscellaneous item. And just because "everybody" does the wrong thing doesn't make it the right thing.

'Equipment' is meant to be things that are part of your character: weapons, armor, tools, accessories.
"Items" are things that you can place in the world: furniture, blocks/walls, lighting, decorations, etc.

If a thread is posted in the "wrong" section, then anyone can report it and request that it be moved.

It's tough... how would I describe it...
Equipment consists of armor, weapons, accessories, and tools.
Blocks and Decorations consist of anything placeable.
Items are everything else, including potions, ammo, and crafting materials.

There's a certain degree of leniency when it comes to the Equipment/Items subforums, though in my opinion, Equipment tends to be the busier of the two.

What's the point of having both 'items' and 'blocks & decoration' sections? They seem identical.

Unsure where to post but these counts as feedback right?

-Img in spoilers not working

-you can open/view previous comments but you can't close it back

-you can't edit comments on profile (my own grammar is bothering me very much)

-TO is too awesome and I can't like it enough

What image? Plenty of spoilers here with images working fine. Can you elaborate?

Editing of comments isn't possible in XF, but I'll look into it on the plugin side.

Not sure what to make of the last comment. :p

Some stuff about conversations.
  • Would it be possible to make people who left conversations disappear from the "Conversation Participants" list?
  • Would it be possible to be able to delete conversation messages?
  • And maybe what darthmorf said about liking messages in conversations.

Looking into all of these and some other items over the past week or so (making a list for skiphs). Going to hope to get a chance to start testing a handful of new tweaks soon - though we want to avoid feature creep. ;)

Focus is on improvement of general browsing/posting experience and some account stuff. Of course some stuff may sound good on paper and be horrible in practice - so we will take the time needed to test out all that we can before pushing it live to everyone.

Of course, skiphs is REALLY busy on the actual game right now...so we have to wait for a window of time when he is available. :)

Could we have a permanent unwatch button, i like to watch every thread i post on, but some of them i unwatch and want to comment on them again to provide more feedback, but then dont care about other posts, and so on, so for convenience reasons could you put a checkbox under unwatch thread saying,"permanently unwatch thread?" Thanks.

I don't know if this is too off-topic, but I noticed (that or I am blind) that once you come to the Forums from Terraria.org there isn't a way/link back, could that be added? Or is that intentional? Thanks!

Yeah, I'd like this as well. I was thinking that the "Home" button could link back to the main Terraria site.

Also adding links to the wiki and rules would be nice too.

This, how did i not notice this, maybe have the forums link to everything, put them by the members button, up in that top bar.

This is certainly in the plans, skiphs is just focused - rightfully so - on the 1.3 update right now. These links will all be added just as soon as possible. :)

Not sure I follow. You want to unwatch - that's already an option. You can also toggle off "watch on post". Not sure the tick box you want exists or if it would have to be hand coded.

Unless I misunderstand?

Well, its more for convenience, before i post, i dont want to have to go into the options to uncheck the box, and then post, and then re check the box

Understood. Will add it to my investigative list. If it isn't too much (like needing to be hand coded), we will see if such a thing is doable.
