uh, do I?Is there any specific species I have to make them? Like does my OC have to be a human, or can they be anything else?
Nah, you can even make it a robot. Is there any specific species I have to make them? Like does my OC have to be a human, or can they be anything else?
K. I'll make an OC in a little bit.Nah, you can even make it a robot.
Too small (bacteria) or too big (a literal star, unlike Xueqing) isn't going to be accepted though.
I look forward to your arrival!K. I'll make an OC in a little bit.
Not a requirement, but you can make your character any species you want. Elves, dragons, humans, robots, Eldrich Horrors, werewolves, plants with sentients, and everything few and far between are welcome. Unless they are omnipotent, then imma have to play a few DM trump cards. Is there any specific species I have to make them? Like does my OC have to be a human, or can they be anything else?
I plan on dropping the IC thread no later than this weekend, so take your time! If anyone wants more time, then we can wait for the October break.Just popping in to say I may join this if I manage to finish Kelyn in time. At least I don't have to fill in abilities for him because he's from a world without magic...
...I do think I forgot to remove that field from his description though.
I'm not sure if I'll have Kelyn finished by the end of the week unless I sacrifice other plans for it as well, but I'll have to see. Main problem is just his suit at this point, as it needs a full design and a list of its features.I plan on dropping the IC thread no later than this weekend, so take your time! Seeing as the suit is one of the main points of the character, I'd rather have it at least mostly finished before dropping him in anywhere. I posted his current design in TLPW so you can find it there right now.Drop in his design just as is, say he has the suit and provide a physical discription and we'll imagine the rest. You can keep on working on his suit's design as we RP, and post it here in the OOC thread so I might update the oc description.
Otherwise, we can still wait for you to finish up the designs!
damn. do I have to write this muchFull Name: Mossel (WIP, I'm terrible with names)
Nickname: Mosso
Gender/Pronouns: He/him
Attraction: Bicurious
Age: Around 30, unsure
Height: 5'3" normally, 6'4" when not in comfortable slouch and crouch (I.e. taller than they look)
Weight: ~55 lbs.
Personality (What are their character traits?): Autistic, nervous, shy, passionate, sleepy
Physical Description (What do they look like? Either use words or an image.): View attachment 496797
This was my reference image and a huge part of my inspiration, the Moss is more of a cloak and much darker, as well as reaching all the way down to the ground. His face is also shadowed and glowing dark blue eyes stare out from within. He has small, partially transparent, bug-like wings on his back that he can use for small bursts of flight. The body underneath is hard to see, but described as being a kind of oak brown, with root-like feet.
Equipment (What do they have on them? A sword? Armor?): The Moss cloak looks like clothing, but is actually attached to them. He takes very good care of his cloak, it's important to him. It functions as warmth and can grow and shift to some degree, he especially loves using it as a blanket and pillow. (He loves sharing, and snuggles in general) Somewhere in the cloak is his blade, named the Stinging Nettle. It resembles a long, thin thorn from a plant, and is very light. Its tip secretes a chemical that causes struck creatures to feel very cold and itchy in the affected area, the only cure is touching his cloak when he wants you to.
Abilities (What can they do? Can they shoot fire? Expertly use a blade?): Some skill with the Stinging Nettle, as well as very high agility. He is capable of small bursts of flight and squeezing himself smaller to dodge many things, but is quite fragile when actually hit. He is a decent survivalist as well. Part plant, and can thus take root and/or perform photosynthesis to gain energy. Very good at curating plants.
Strengths (What are they good at? Are they powerful spellcasters? Are they good motivational speakers?): Good at quick simple math and problem solving. Has a knack for comforting those struggling mentally and emotionally. Good at thinking outside the box and coming up with strange but worth trying solutions.
Flaws: (What are they bad at? Are they physically weak? Are they easy to emotionally manipulate?): Fragile physically. Procrastinator. Likes sleeping in, but has a very hard time going to sleep. Sometimes he becomes emotionally unstable and retreats into a sort of shell. Socially awkward and has a bad habit of saying what they think without considering how others will respond.
Backstory (What was their life like before this? What led up to this?): Lived on a high plant density planet, somewhat resembling Greenpath and Queen's Gardens. Lived a somewhat normal childhood, but was unsure of the passage of time due to the dense plant cover, and is thus unsure of his exact age. Most people around him weren't appreciative of or accommodating of his autism, and he (legally, with full knowledge of his family) left at 16 with a cargo ship. Spent a long time wandering major planets trying to find somewhere he fit in.
Text Color (What Hex Code with you be writing with to identify the character?): #4a5d23 (dark Moss green)
Occupation (Eg navigator, pilot, gunner, quartermaster, engineer, medic, translator, scientist, marine, soldier, mechanic, ect): Onboard botanist/comedic relief/stowawayI mean helpful passenger
Faction (out of any of the four above, a custom faction you make up yourself or none): Theis a faction I literally lived in a cave for my whole childhood
Extras (Anything you want to add that doesn't fit into the other categories?): This character was visually inspired by various fanart i've seen and my personal in-game encounters with the various mossy enemies in Hollow Knight. His personality was directly inspired by me, with some aspects slightly altered to make him funnier to roleplay. His backstory was written because I am tired of overly tragic backstories, but there had to be something interesting. Also extremely loosely based on my experience with autism.
You can simplify.damn. do I have to write this much
I will let Creeper answer this, as I'm not him... I can at most assist you on this.Final question.

Nope. I do appreciate the large amount of effort though.damn. do I have to write this much
We can start right now, I'd say. We have enough to comfortably run a ship, so we can start whenever Esther is ready.Final question.
How many OC's do we need to start?
Can I make my OC before you all start? It should be done very soon.We can start right now, I'd say. We have enough to comfortably run a ship, so we can start whenever Esther is ready.
Of course! It's preferred if you submit your pc before we begin, so I as the DM know what to work with before hand. Can I make my OC before you all start? It should be done very soon.
This guy is vaguely based on medamn. do I have to write this much
I'll help if necessary. So, out of the following three, would you like to help me in moderating this RP?
@Fluxxation, @Lin Xueqing, @Green_Metagnight?
This is entirely optional, of course.
