Story The Day Terraria was Destroyed

The world of Terraria has been destroyed. The mountains, the rivers, the floating islands, the very edge of the world has been consumed by a destructive organism similar to the Corruption and Crimson before it, but rather than a purple or red color, it instead has a silver, grey-like coloring that gives anything it consumes a grey, lifeless look to it.
Now, questions will be answered, and the first will be: "How did this happen?", to which, the answer will lie in what happened before this. Back when the Terrarian was around.
The Terrarian was a being that wished not peace, nor destruction, but rather completion of the world that which he lived in. The Terrarian's origin is unknown, with the only person who might know being the Guide, to which he replied to the question with: "A giant blue light appeared, and, after that, he was there!", as there were no witnesses during the event that which he spoke of, there is yet no evidence to whether or not he's telling the truth. But whether the Guide is right or not, one thing is certain, the Terrarian completed his goal in completing the world.
First, was the Eye of Cthulhu, being blown up via dynamite. The next was King Slime, for he and his slimes were burned to the ground by torches. Then, was the Eater of Worlds, where he used his agility, as well as skill, and sliced away at the Worm until there was nothing left. The Next, was the Brain of Cthulhu. The origins of the Brain are unknown as well. All that is known is that The Terrarian appeared one day, holding a bloody spine.
Unlike the previous bosses, there was nobody there to witness the event of the Brains defeat. All that is known, is that The Terrarian tried very hard to make sure to contain the Battle within a large circular arena, blocked off with several wooden blocks. While the reasoning was unknown at the time, all that Is known is that The Terrarian was successful, and The Brain was defeated.
The next boss was Skeletron, in which The Terrarian unloaded several bullets into it's head. Then, was the Queen Bee. where the Terrarian managed to murder by using one of the Legendary Swords while She was Distracted: The Arkhalis.
Then, was the Wall of Flesh. Where The Terrarian used the Star Cannon to unload a series of stars at it. With the only thing left being cosmic dust, and an obsidian box.
The Next Bosses were Mechanical versions of some of the previous bosses before it. This includes: The Eater of Worlds, now being known as: The Destroyer, Skeletron, now known as: Skeletron Prime, and The Eye of Cthulhu, now known as: The Twins.
The Boss after them is Plantera. The Boss after them is The Golem, after them, Duke Fishron, after them, The Lunatic Cultist, and finally, The Moonlord.
Now, The Terrarian usually disappears for some time before reappearing with items. But for the next bosses, he took even longer than before, nevertheless, he managed to defeat every boss, including the Moonlord. With it's remains falling onto the ground and somehow, being absorbed into the terrain.
After those events, The Terrarian disappeared, reappeared, then left, leaving nothing but a giant blue light, and after that, he was gone, for good.
At first, the Npc's were confused, they wondered why The Terrarian wasn't coming back, but eventually, they figured out why The Terrarian wasn't back. At first, some of them began to panic, but within time, they all came to accept that The Terrarian wasn't coming back. And with that in mind, they continued their lives.
But Unbeknownst to them, under the ground a being far more greater than the Moonlord, and it wanted to feed.
You see, while the Terrarian may have been gone, impact upon the world has not. For, while The Terrarian in his quest in completion, may have destroyed the Hallow, he ended up failing to exterminate the Corruption, as well as another organism that was created upon the Brain's defeat and had leaked through the cracks that had formed in the small underground battle arena and was spreading quickly, known as the Crimson. And with nobody left to exterminate the organisms, they grew, causing most of the underground world to be taken over. With almost nobody but the Dryad feeling an undeniable presence of unknown origin forming.
Now, while the Dryad may be able to sense the amount of Corruption and Crimson, she had heard that The Terrarian had destroyed all that was left of the organisms and believed that he was right. And with The Terrarian gone, she had no reason to try to sense the presence of the world around her anymore. But even though she couldn't sense the world, she normally would've noticed such a huge presence forming in the world, but somehow, the organisms, no, the organism was masking itself.
Such an action would normally be almost impossible for such a creature like the Corruption, or Crimson. But somehow, the organisms found each other, and managed to merge.
The Merged organism now sported a grey-like silver color, with far more power than either of the organisms before it. And with it's newfound might, it managed to infect the underground completely. And once the moment was right, it struck.
The Dryad managed to notice that something was wrong, and managed to bring all the other Npc's up onto The Terrarian's skybridge a few moments before it infected the entire house and everything around it.
The other Npc's agreed that this new organism was different than the Corruption, as well as the other organism that the Dryad felt a bit of before the presence of said organism disappeared.
And so, the Npc's all ended up agreeing on a name that fit what it was doing to the world, it was feeding off of it, draining it's life and leaving a lifeless grey husk of what it once was, it was....
Devoured.
And with the rest of the world starting to be Devoured as well, the Npc's all agreed on using one of The Terrarian's old skybases as a base of which they would reside in forming plans as to how to defeat the Devoured.
The first thing they did was see what they could do, and what they couldn't. And the first thing they realized that they can't do was use either Purification Powder, or the Clentaminator and it's Green Solution. For the Dryad sensed that the Devoured grew an immunity to the Items, and that what they had wouldn't work. So the Npc's came up with an idea that involved the Cyborg, Dryad, Steampunker, Truffle, Wizard, Witch Doctor, and the Goblin Tinkerer to stay at the base, and find a way to beat the Devoured, while the Angler, Arms Dealer, Demolitionist, Dye Trader, and the Stylist to look out for any enemies that may come and attack, as well as see what is happening at the surface of the world, as the Nurse provides medical help with Npc's that may have gotten hurt, while the Clothier helps in sensing the dead and undead people of the land to see what is going on, as the Painter helps in painting descriptions of what the Npc's that looks out told him of in order to get a good knowledge of what they should expect, as the Party Girl, Tavernkeep, Tax Collector, and the all were equipped with weapons so that, in case someone came in, they could try to beat it to death before it could attack, as the Mechanic, Merchant, Pirate, and the Guide all discussed different strategies that they could use to defeat the Devoured.
and day after day, they witnessed the end of Terraria, as the world itself became more and more Devoured. The Npc's started to lose hope. Then, the cure was made, the ultimate weapon that could defeat the Devoured, alongside a brand new Clentaminator 2.0! But at that very moment, the last few seconds of Terraria before it's destruction had started to tick.
The Devoured had used it's power to create several Eater of Souls/Crimera looking creatures that looked similar, but more so resembled water droplets that were falling from the sky.
Except these droplets were there to infect. And as the Npc's prepared the Clentaminator 2.0, the Devoured managed to infect several of them. But just as the Steampunker was about to shoot straight at the Devoured's creatures in an attempt to destroy them so that they would have some time to prepare for another assault, one of the Devoured's creatures attacked the Steampunker from behind and caused the Clentaminator to fall from the sky. Now, any normal item would have hit the ground and not much would have changed to the environment, but when the Clentaminator and the upgraded Green solution hit the ground, a giant explosion of concentrated green energy erupted from the area, enveloping it and the Clentaminator in a giant ball of Nature that was unbreakable to the Devoured. But other than that area, The rest of the world of Terraria had been consumed by the Devoured, leaving absolutely nothing behind. And all hope had been lost.

Until, suddenly, a bright blue light appeared.

Is this story going to continue?

Well... I created this story based off of a mod idea I had that was made because I doodled a more spookier version of the Eater of Worlds.

And due to that, I left the rest of the story ambiguous as to whether or not the being that came out of the bright blue light actually managed to destroy the Devoured, due to the fact that the premise for the mod idea is that the player has to get more stronger, beat the Devoured versions of the different terraria bosses, gain the Clentaminator 2.0, and defeat the True Eater of Worlds. So in short, the ending of this story, is the beginning of the mod. So I don't think I'm really going to continue it.
