I was just wondering becuase I'm planning on doing a expert playthrough when the 1.3 update comes out if expert difficulty is included

This page notes all the differences (SPOILER ALERT: also contains the expert exclusive boss drops, and it might be more fun to find out what they do for yourself), but what you generally need to know is that enemies deals much more damage (they scale with your progress as well) and you are slightly weaker (for instance, you don't regen health as fast and most debuffs last longer). You're going to have to get really adept at dodging, because even with end-game gear, tanking is not an option.
On the plus side, enemies drop a lot more coins, meaning that getting the best prefixes is less of an issue, and the bosses drop some neat Expert exclusive items. I won't spoil them from you, though.
