Terrarian
Terraria is a huge game with a lot to collect, banners for almost every enemy, but collecting everything, all the banners, weapons and accessories don't give you something in reward.

Not for long! Here is the magic book...
THE ENCYCLOPEDIA!
Ever wanted to brag to your friends you are truly the better player? Give em' a gander at this to make their jaws drop!

How do I get it?
It drops on Dungeon shelves, just like the water bolt. Simple as that. If you're lucky, maybe you'll get it before Skeletron. It is a brown book, so look out for it!

So what does it do?
Well, it is a HUGE thing to complete. The book is simply a must have for collectors. It records the data of monsters, weapons, accessories and more with it. Try to get every page filled!

Things to collect
-Every Monster, and their banner
-Every Weapon
-Every Accessory
-Every Pet
-Every Fish
-Every Boss, with trophies and masks
-Every Mount and Grappling Hook
-Every armor set (Vanity not included)

Data is saved on each INDIVIDUAL character. This means you'll need multiple worlds for certain enemies and weapons.

Think you got what it takes?

**Some exceptions
-Monsters summoned by others that have no banner (Shadowflame Apparation etc.) I forget what it's called.

-Monsters exclusive to seasonal events
(Frost Legion, Hoppin' Jack, Ghost)

-Weapons/Tools exclusive to seasonal events (Candy Cane Sword/Pickaxe etc.)

-Accessories exclusive to seasonal events (Hand Warmer)

-Season exclusive pets (Dog Whistle, Unlucky Yarn)

Now things that'll be really hard!
Nymph Banner
The Axe
Wyvern Banner
All Expert mode stuff! (Gravity Globe)

Now for the more detailed parts, Actual descriptions. This will take a long time to complete, so stay tuned for more entries as I add them!

Description: A rare mutation in blue slime DNA results in a gigantic King Slime. Along with increased physical ability, it also divides into smaller blue slimes. How it obtains a crown is unknown.

Description: This gigantic demon eye is believed to belong to a large aquatic monster... But who knows if that’s true? It also can morph into a large mouth of deadly fangs when stressed.

Description: This hulking monster is born when a Devourer egg enters a Shadow Orb. Each of the segments has its own brain and heart. It can tunnel through Ebonstone very easily.

Description: This brain is also believed to belong to some aquatic monster, but no research proves so. It is not actually a brain, as it has a heart and brain inside its brain-shaped body. It also can produce living organisms called creepers.

Description: Each one of these have their own hive. They defend the larva of the next generation with their lives. Their bodies also can support smaller insect life inside, mainly for smaller bees.

Description: A keeper of a dungeon that bounds its soul into an individual, that will be cursed for life until Skeletron is destroyed. It’s head has a special organ for quick and powerful rotation.

Description: The guardian of the underworld that ties itself to certain individuals like the Skeletron. The large organs on it seem to bear similarities to the Eye of Cthulhu.

This is a great idea. I suggested this too in the past.

Maybe instead of having the encyclopedia as an item, it could be a feature tied to a new NPC such as a Bookkeeper or a librarian.

This would add so much to the game and help keep track of progresses.

I am in full support of this idea, however instead of it being an item, mabey having it be an inventory tab instead would make a bit more sense. I wouldn’t want to acedentally throw it away.
