So for the Elements of Terraria, what would the elements be and what would they look like?
Would they be crystals or monsters or humanoid?
Also, they'll probably be pretty simple.

Yeah It does I wish my sprites were that good.
 
Nah he used two existing sprites, i already have a sprite for that boss

I know it’s a placeholder but hot damn that ghost boss sprite looks like someone’s toddler went into paint and started slamming together things until it looked remotely ok, ngl. Byeah you should also find another thing for that Jungle Behemoth thing. That really is not creative at all.
 
Someone showed me that on the forum the fog nightmare and jungle behemoth are tbd anyway thx for feedback

Yeah I'm actually going to say this right now, plain and simple.

Please reconsider everything you have planned in this mod.

All of the weapons you have are extremely overpowered, most of the bosses are pretty much carbon copies of bosses from other mods, and there is so much god forsaken text that I can't even be bothered reading through the first paragraph. Not to mention the extremely grindy items and extreme power creep that I'm seeing in almost all of these items.

There is so much potential to make an enjoyable, balanced, and of course unique mod, and there currently isn't much of that here.


I'd advise you to either:

1. Find someone (or some people) who can help you with making unique and balanced ideas, or
2. Learn to make more unique ideas and figure out how Terraria's balancing works.

Please, for the love of everyone. The end goal is seriously worth it if you just put some time into making unique and balanced ideas, not to mention the (somewhat light) ridiculing I'm seeing will hopefully completely stop.

You won't regret it if you try.
 
its supposed to be powerful you should see boss hp i mentioned this, i did state this mod works better with other mods, i dont want them to be balanced thats not the point but ya know
But the massive power creep is one of the mod's main issues. It's one of the major reasons why a lot of people dislike Calamity.
 
OK so i nerfed most of the weapons except the ultimasword of eternity because its balanced due to insane crafting recipe and it being post oblivion
 
Once again, I recommend getting help from people like @J Bame or @Shady Glasses (those are some of the people I personally know, anyway) to figure out how to balance this stuff.

I also recommend to tone down on the amount of bosses and items in general. A massive mod like this will surely flop if you haven't made a large successful mod before, or if you straight up haven't programmed anything before. Even with a todo list, you'll still be incredibly overwhelmed. You'll eventually find out why so many people suggest starting out small if you don't already.

Oh and speaking of bosses and items, please come up with unique stuff. Bosses like the Devourer of Eternities and Catastrophe are obviously pretty much carbon copies from Calamity.
If there's any better time to work on figuring out unique ideas, it's now.
 
no catastrophe means something else i started designing this mod, the first boss i made was catasthrope and that was in dec 2016 i haven't even heard of calamity, but devourer idk what to name just a placeholder fn

I would appreciate if you requested help from others. A massive burden like this mod definitely shouldn't be carried by one person alone.

Nah i have a team of people helping and some mod devs a well, i will ask one of them to balance and update the forum i gtg

thx, i will try to improve it, btw the og idea was the ultimasword of eternity and op item and a one shot boss catastrophe back when there weren't as many op items mods on the browser and not even that many mods in general on the browser
 
I think that the main problem is that we can barely tell what anything does because you didn't provide pictures, video clips or even sprites of anything and you only provided descriptions of the weapons' effects. Also just so you know overpowered weapons don't contribute much, they just take the fun out of things because there's no challenge.

The most op item is post all of the bosses and completely insane to craft so it's hard to get and only obtainable post oblivion, i am trying the balance and i will be adding pictures of sprites and videos of bosses to give you an idea
