It is several years into the future and several new holds have been established some much like the one I own with about 130 villagers and others are smaller. One towers above even mine said settlement claims to be the capital of Terraria. My town is known Adamantiel Celestia and was built around a sky island. My father and his guide were the first residents of Terraria. A new ore which the Replubic of Terraria (the settlement that lays claim to being the capital) has dubbed Magnite was discovered in the Crimson. To my surprise the colony of Crimahr was established several years ago in the formidable and deadly land. The ore is causing a very uneasy mood amongst Terraria due to its strengths. A surge of people are heading to Crimahr to further colonize the area and mine for the mystic ore. Tensions that rose years ago versus the Republic and the Gerento have boiled over and have pushed Terraria into war. Those that side with the Republic and those that side with the Gerento. The feud started over who had the rightful claim to be the capital. A temporary truce has been called to avoid fights breaking out at Crimahr where the two sides will surely mingle.
"Kihs, the merchant and his family are departing..." I knew this, I know he is worried but we can make do we always have. "I'm afraid of what will happen if more families leave." I commented "Especially if more prominent figures keep leaving first the nurse and now the merchant and his whole family." "You can't keep ignoring the problem... I'm about to explode we must do someth-" Pffft... "Cry me a river build a bridge and jump off it." Ezekiel frowned. "I may be just a guide but you appointed me as your advisor for a reason." I smirked but he had a reply himself. "Now Ezekiel... That isn't a very nice finger." Little skunk! He was right something had to be done. I hate it when he is right. "Face it without me you'd walk right off the island." Whatever he can go on and on sometimes. The doors of my manor burst open. Angelica a baker charged through the doors holding a pearl wood sword covered in what looked to be blood. The guards stopped her from approaching further but I could see she was wounded. "Angelica what has happened?" The panicked woman shouted "It is the republic they are slaughtering everyone!" My hell! What about the treaty? Besides that we are a neutral party in the war. I signaled my entire guard and Ezekiel to come with me weapons drawn. I ran outside to see an entirely different story. The two guards outside of my manor defending it had been slain. Blood lied pooled around their bodies. "Damnit no one is attacking the witch got the trick on us!" Angelica had snuck into my stronghold and managed to evacuate my entire guard and bolted the door shut behind us. I muttered still quite stunned from the whole situation "She can't be acting alone we have an uprising on our ha-" A loud bang interrupted my claim. "Oh isn't that great..." Ezekiel had just been shot. My guards mobilized on the rat bastard who had shot Ezekiel. I kneeled beside him and examined the gaping wound that had pierced his flesh. I was shocked, chlorophyte bullets had been the perpetrator... That is pretty extreme fire power. Something much larger is at play here. I reached for my pouch and grabbed a healing potion for Ezekiel and took an iron skin potion myself. Not taking any risks here. I could feel the potion taking effect. The odd feeling like your skin is freezing off is unforgettable. I ran over to the assemblage of guards who had impaled the attacker with a hallowed spear. The assailant lay dead in a set of cobalt armor and a mythril repeater strapped to his back with a vine cord. My captain of the guard was examining the weapon he used to fire the bullets. It appeared to be a modified mini-shark. The weapon was reinforced with an unknown metal. "It's definitely not a single metal so we are looking at an alloy here." "The base metal seems to be chlorophyte. If I am correct it has been melded with Magnite." "How is Ziek?" I must've frowned strongly because I could tell he sensed the worst. "The healing potion closed the wound but he hasn't regained consciousness..." He looked at me as if he expected further elaboration. Well I do have a medical background... "That does not bode well, after the healing 'mode' is induced his heart rate should regulate towards normality and he should wake even if only momentarily" "This could be a sign of hemorrhaging or other internal damage." The captain, Sethus was close friends with Ezekiel and perhaps the only person who was granted permission to refer to him as Ziek. I heard a rather cliché maniacal laugh echoing from the balcony of my manor. "Enjoying the view?" Angelica smiled smugly as if amused by our conversation. "Certainly am, while we are being so friendly I might as well ask, do you like my new outfit?" She was wearing a Crimahr robe. "We citizens of Crimahr are tired of watching the republic stand idly by as those filthy Gerento poison our land!" Pondering on her I realized she was a relatively new resident. "This treaty of theirs will be kept, but a new faction shall soon rise to power and fight all who oppose it's values!" A coward surely. Targeting a neutral settlement. Gah! "We are a neutral party why attack us?" "You idiot, it is the perfect place to begin the movement your town is a blank canvas that needs a force to illustrate a picture!" Sethus began negotiation tactics. "We can offer you enough platinum and explicit access to our arsenal and you can go make your movement elsewhere." "Your pathetic captain of the guard is laughable the demolitionist is already detonating your 'impenetrable' vault doors." Angelica clearly had no intention of surrendering. "We still have political capital in this town, make us instrumental in your movement and we may prove beneficial" Did I make it too obvious that we are at our last resort? "Oh I will certainly! You will be great examples of what happens when you defy me" She beckoned towards some of my guard in the manor and they charged us crushing me and possibly breaking a few bones. There was no point in resisting and me and Sethus did not offer any defiance. "Ezekiel needs medical care please let me treat him." Angelica who now met us at the doors spoke "Don't worry Stanley here is a doctor" I know for a fact Stanley isn't a doctor... "Why don't you give the poor man his medicine?" The guard walked over to Ezekiel and retrieved his hallowed repeater and attached a quiver to the bottom. "What... No don't! Come on Stan do-" an arrow cut my plea short it went straight through Ezekiel's skull. "See much better?" "You'll burn in hell for that." "Silly, I'm already there." Stanley escorted us through the doors into the main hall. "I do have some kind words for you Kihs, you were a good ruler before things changed." "I have some kind words too: Drop dead" He force fed us some sort of alchemical concoction that hindered our vision. I knew where we were I can remember the rough rich mahogany floor of the dungeons of my hold. When we were in the cell the potion began to wear off and I saw several memorable faces. Anton my court wizard, Julia the witch doctor, and Bryant my butler. Bryant asked "What of Ziek he has not joined their league has he?" I shaked my head and showed them the dried blood on my palms. "It isn't mine" I gestured towards Sethus who was curled up with a saddened look plastered across his face. "Anton I didn't expect you of all people to be captured." The dark-skinned quiet man smirked and said "We've been waiting for you to join our little party." He pressed against a stone brick and the ice brick floor began to melt. "I'm a bit puzzled... Aren't ice bricks tempered so they can't be melted?" The mysterious man smirked yet again "Not Anton's specialty brand ice bricks." "Shall we proceed?" asked Bryant.
