how do you have half a beat?
so basically, in this song im working on, the song is in 5.5/4, or

this makes it so in 5/4, there is an extra up beat
and in 6/4, it is missing a down beat
so in the melody, the final note before the loop acts both as an up beat of 6/4, and the beginning of the next measure
since the next beat of the song after the last melody upbeat is also an upbeat, is makes it feel like a downbeat

this makes it literally impossible to write on sheet music if you want measure lines because the measure line cannot exist, for measure lines are after downbeats and before upbeats
and there are two upbeats, and technically one of them is both a downbeat and an upbeat at the same time
if you tried to put a measure line, it would end up chopping a note in half
