I have also had friends that I tended to have to put up a facade for, and my opinion is that the majority of the time those relationships are toxic, a lot of times even if it is just friendly teasing. I would recommend finding friends who have similar interests or interests that you are looking for, and like I said in a previous post, even meeting people you know nothing about.
