What about a new class? The morph class. The purpose of this class would be to transform into certain npcs or creatures and obtain the abilities of those npcs/creatures. For example, after killing a slime 3 times, I get a slime emblem that allows me to turn into a slime and jump very high. In addition, our life and our attack will change according to the creature. But the larger creatures will have some debuffs in addition to their powerful abilities like slowness or weakened crit chance.
 
Certainly a unique idea. I kinda like it.

That being said, I don't think a new class is really necessary. There's already enough debate over the throwing class, and that one is part of the game.
 
I agree, that means recording all npc behaviors to work with the players' decision will probably kill off computers, even the latest ones. Still though, this is just a suggestion.
