After creation of my first suggestion (check it here), i looked throughout the Dungeon and catched a little thing:

"Damn, why there is no armor of this angry skeletons?! It looks amasing!"

And so i decided to make a suggestion about...

Red Steel Armor Set

Redsteel Armor (Chestguard).png
Redsteel Armor (Breastplate).png
Redsteel Armor (Cuirass).png

Total Defence: 21 / 18 / 15

The main idea is a variety of chestplates, giving their own unique set bonuses and stat-ups.

Just like Bettle Armor, but for Pre-Hardmode.

Red Steel Helmet

Stats: 4 defence, +11% melee crits chance

RedSteelChestguard.png

Red Steel Chestguard

Stats: 12 defence

Set Bonus: Enemies deal ¾ of their damage

RedSteelBreastplate.png

Red Steel Breastplate

Stats: 9 defence, +7% melee damage

Set Bonus: Attackers also take damage

RedSteelCuirass.png

Red Steel Cuirass

Stats: 6 defence, +9% melee speed

Set Bonus: armor penetration increased by 6

Red Steel Leggings

Stats: 5 defence, +5% movement speed

So, the chestguard is more suitable for tanks, while breastplate and cuirass for damage dealers and berserkers.

And this armor is really good for Pre-HM warriors! Believe me.

Ways of Obtaining

1. Armor pieces should be dropped by Angry Bones with 2,5% chance (1/40 chance)

Kinda obvious, but each piece drops depending on type of skeleton:

Second Type - Red Steel Breastplate, Red Steel Leggings

Third Type - Red Steel Chestguard

Fourth Type - Red Steel Helmet, Red Steel Cuirass, Red Steel Leggings

2. Armor pieces should be crafted on Iron/Lead Anvil

Basically, you should farm a new material:

Scrap Metal.png

Scrap Metal

This new thing is dropped by skeletons with 50% chance (1/2 chance) in stacks of 1-2.

Combining 4 pieces of scrap metal on

and with bars you can finally craft this classy armor by this recipes:
