tModLoader The Spirit Mod!

Thanks to @--Elias--, who's been kind enough to help with armor sheets, progress is going great! Check out Coiled Armor!

I'm going to ask that people please refrain from disparaging other mod projects. Spirit mod is good enough that its supporters don't have to tear down other mods.
As a foreword, I'm going to say this: I know I'm skirting the line between abiding by authority and challenging it, but this is a genuine concern, and I'll attempt to phrase it in a way that does not result in me recieving an undue warning. I was also certain to keep the argument on topic, and related to the spirit mod, so as not to get booked over off topic-ness. Also, I typed this on a phone at midnight, so forgive my grammar/spelling errors.

So, I figured this argument would pop up from a moderator sooner or later, and I felt like I just had to ask/pose an (non aggressive) argument. The basis of the discussion is this: at what point does posing negative opinions about other's content in a public place breach both the rules of the forum, and our right of freedom of speech? To begin with, the rules regarding freedom of speech mostly say no one can limit what you say unless you are in a private/government sanctioned institution, ie: schools. (It also prohibits things like threats, but we're gonna ignore that, because it doesn't pertain to the argument, and no one was doing it). For the sake of argument, let's ignore that and say we are law-binded to following forum rules. Here's a snippet of rules regarding the matter, pulled straight from the forums rules: "Our Communities approach each interaction and contribution in a manner that appreciates the fact that each of us has our own valid thoughts, feelings, and ideas. There is a difference between disagreement and disrespect. Debate the position, not the person." and "Members of our Communities are free to express themselves openly and without fear of punishment – especially in regards to constructive criticism of how Re-Logic games and Communities can be improved. As long as this feedback is delivered in a manner consistent with the themes ofMaturity and Mutual Respect outlined above, your voice will be heard." In most situations where people stated their favor, or lack therof, of other people's mods, they generally did two things: debate their point using valid reasons, and didn't target content creators. They also mostly brought up the other mods to compare them to the spirit mod. While some people did complain about other mods, they also had reasons for it, and exercised their right to free speech without breaking forum rules, as they did not target any content creators. In short, I don't believe that the majority of posters 'disparaged' any mods without their own defended reasons for it, and no one broke any forum rules. Now, it's getting late, and my thoughts are turning cloudy, so I wanna finish up. The end, I guess.

Of witch boss?
Nothing confirmed, but the Alien Replicator. Will probs be released in the Second update with Aragothicon if it is ever confirmed
Any suggestions for bullet hell like attacks?

Any suggestions for bullet hell like attacks?

Walls of lasers with small gaps between them heading towards the player. Volleys of projectiles that travel slowly towards the player. Projectiles that fly out and reduce speed to stop moving and have a long timeLeft to become an obstacle to the player.

Alrighty, I made some attack patterns. I know, :red:ty drawing, but let me explain.

1,1 True Cursed Inferno

The black dot in the center is obviously the boss, so the boss will shoot out two lasers of Cursed Flame and spin around.

1,2 Laser Grid

The smaller black dots are drones sent out by the boss if this wave is iniaited. Every 5 seconds, the drone moves into a new pre calculated organiation and you just have to avoid the lasers that shoot out in the cardinal directions

1,3 Laser Connection

The boss sends out 3 drones that go in a random postition. Once the postion is set, all the lasers connect together. If you are stuck inside the shape created, your out of luck because the drones with go back into the boss and do damage to you as it contracts the shape.

1,4 Shield

just makes the boss invurnable. Normally paired with another wave.

2,1 Drone Squad

Drones are just spawned and you have to avoid them until the wave is over.

2,2 Bomb

Blue means bomb. Bomb Drones are spawned and do the same as above.

2,3 Homing Drones

Do the same as 2,1 but shoot homing projectiles

2,4 Laser Circle

Starting at the top, the boss shoots out lasers in a circle.

3,1 Laser Blast

Lasers shoot out of the boss in a circlular formation

3, 2 Pulse Wave

The boss emenates pulses which dissapear before they trap you.

3,3 Bombs Away

Bomb drones spawn in the cardinal directions and explode one second after spawning,

3,4 Homing Laser

Starting from the bottom, The boss shoots a homing laser. The laser follows the player around the boss.

To keep the player from just running away, "Tracked" debuff is put on you. When you get to far away from the boss, Bomb and Homing Drones spawn constantly until you go back near enough.

I appreciate the polite way you have approached this and I am happy to answer as transparency in moderation has always been one of the staff's top priorities. As this relates, at least partially, to the specific verbal I issued in this thread, I see no problem answering it here, but be aware that should this discussion go to far afield I may ask that it be moved to a more appropriate venue.

In general, I think you understand fairly well where the line is for pointing out flaws in mods: be constructive, polite, mature, and post said criticisms in the appropriate place. I am and have always been a huge supporter of negative opinions and those that pose them, as long as they are constructive and polite.

The simple answer specifically to the discussion of the Tremor mod on the previous page is that problems with that mod should be brought up either in that mod's thread or in a thread created for that discussion in the General Mod Discussion section. It is not really appropriate to discuss, in depth, problems with one mod in another unrelated mod's thread. Nothing in the posts in question was over the line, but it was moving away from comparison or relation to spirit mod and turning more into general complaining which is off-topic. Sometimes, especially when it is getting late, I tend to speak as if I ate a thesaurus and am randomly spitting out pieces of it, so don't read to much into my use of the word "disparage". Feel free to replace it in your mind with any synonym that seems more befitting to you. In short, I was merely putting a preemptive stop to off-topic discussion so that it would not resume or continue any further, not trying to shut down anyone's ability to share criticism of a mod.

Does that answer the questions you were asking?
