I think desert and Ice Biome should get bosses... Maybe a big sand hurricane for desert or something but for Ice Biome i have no idea

Hello, all! I'm PhoenixBlade, a Terraria player and spriter! Ever since I've started playing Terraria, I've always thought of new possibilities. So recently, I got into spriting for a mod here and there, and I thought, why not make a mod of my own? Sounds like a good idea. Terraria's already a great game, but every person can add new, amazing things to it! If any of you amazing Forum Members could help me, I'd really appreciate it!

Suggestions will not be accepted as of now. However, community Cleanup is underway! Do you want to improve the sprites of the Spirit Mod? Then join in and help us out!

Without further ado, here's everything about the mod!

The Backstory- Spirit Origins...
Long ago, in the days of old, there were only humans and animals. The spirit of the world watched over them, guiding the creatures in the ways of peace and harmony. The people and animals lived side by side, helping each other in times of need.
Yet everything could not stay perfect for long.
The sky grew dark. A seal had been broken. Monsters from the cosmos were attacking. The spirit of Terraria hefted his mighty blade and charged into battle, but it was not enough. The spirit was nearly destroyed, but he vanished, broken and confused, on the brink of the world's destruction. Thinking that they had won, the Celestial creatures retreated. The humans, however, with no guidance anymore, broke apart.
The people grew harsher and more hostile, evolving and changing into beasts akin to those that nearly slaughtered their spirit.
Some were plagued with disease and pestilence. This drove them insane and mutated them into horrendous beings with a multitude of eyes and jaws. These creatures remembered not where they came from, but their foul aura emanated to the land on which they stood, creating The Corruption.
Others, with no teachings of peace or harmony, descended into carnage and bloodshed. The ground on which they battled was forever tainted with their blood and needless violence, spawning forth horrifying spiders and men with no faces. This was the dreaded Crimson.
Some wandered aimlessly, with no hope or destination. These humans slowly devolved, losing their arms and legs and most other body parts. These slimes were always passive, but quick to attack if harmed.
A band of humans wandered into a natural labyrinth they had excavated. The horrors and traps that had manifested there led many astray, and they were trapped in the walls of the Dungeon forevermore, becoming shells of their former selves.

Another band of humans turned to thievery and murder, becoming quicker, stealthier, and more beastly. These goblins retreated to unknown locations, sending scouts to oversee the areas.
Some looked to the sky for answers, trying desperately to reach the floating islands they always saw in the skies. The air around the humans changed them, granting them wings and feral instincts.
One group of humans succeeded in protecting themselves from the lunar invaders, tunneling deep into the jungle and building a fortress to house themselves in. After generations of being holed up in their fort, the humans tried to contact the Spirit of Terraria by building an altar to it. Forgetting what it looked like, the humans worshiped the mad contraption the altar created. The fortress soon became a temple. And these poor souls, after millenia of contact with Jungle creatures, morphed into reptilian creatures that lost all human instincts. They still, however, remembered to guard their beacon.
A lone man, a trapper, did his best to contain and preserve these lost souls. He tamed the wildest beasts of the jungle, including a ferocious flowery beast, succeeded in purifying an entire area of land known as the Hallow, and snuffed the essences of the Dungeon's strongest enemies. He journeyed downwards, reaching the center of the world. The demons here were easy to defeat, but they taunted and tricked him, slowly pulling apart his sanity. Eventually, the man broke down, sobbing, and the souls of the underworld converged upon him, mutilating his very being. The man, now disfigured to the point of no recognition, wandered the underworld, still remembering to keep the souls of dark and light at bay.
Another man, hearing of the tales of the dungeon, ventured to its entrance. He saw a broken tablet there. Peering into the tablet, he saw the very spirit of something, ghastly, and it ate at his mind, nesting like some diseased thing. Slowly, his mind and skull became its own creature, and the old man tried its best to contain the skeleton within, wandering the dungeon's entrance in agony.
A group of insane humans supported the celestial creatures who laid waste to the land. They worshiped these creatures, operating in the utmost secrecy.
Now, the world grows restless. You, a young adventurer, may be the key to releasing the spirit of Terraria, and restoring the world to its former Harmony. The Spirit senses your presence, but in his confused state, sends enemies to attack you, with an ulterior goal of making you stronger. New bosses, enemies, and biomes, with dark, murky pasts, are appearing. The many factions of the world have seen you as well, and are thirsting for blood, sensing that a final battle is aproaching
You must fight, young Terrarian! Use the new weapons the Spirit of Terraria has gifted to you, and make your way to the end. Protect this world from the Celestial Invaders! They sense you as well, and it will only be a matter of time until their master strikes....

Content!
And now, let's talk about the mod's content! Fun! This mod aims to have a bit of everything, from bosses to biomes, and of course, new items and weapons!
However, my aim (mainly) is to expand on the idea of hardmode. Prehardmode has a somewhat branched tree (you can choose Jungle, Necro, or Molten armor to continue onto hardmode), and I aim to expand on that in the future, but hardmode? Ores sets, Chlorophyte gear, 1.2.4 Endgame weapons, and Lunar Armor. Seeing as Terraria is a game based on versatility, I want to make sure people have more options all around! Plus, I really like hardmode :p

Sky Mobs!
Shooting Star- An enemy that spawns in space after one Mechanical Boss has been defeated. They drop an important item.
'A sign that Otherworldy beings are watching...'
Martian Scout- A Hardmode Mob with high knockback resistance and damage!
Starwatcher- A Caster found in Hardmode! Watch out when venturing in Sky Islands or Lakes, because this mob teleports rapidly and shoots Stars at you!
Cumulonimbus- A small cloud that swirls at you speedily! When killed, the Cumulonimbus has a 1/3 chance to turn into an Angry Nimbus, a Torrential Nimbus, or a Rogue Wind.
Torrential Nimbus- Similar to the Angry Nimbus, except the Torrential Nimbus shoots icicles at the player!
Rogue Wind- A fast moving Tornado that'll chase after you. Be careful!

Purity Biome (Enemies here were long overdue!)
New Zombie Variants (Headless, Overgrown, and Shrapnel)!
Rock Monsters- These mobs are found in the Purity Biome soon after defeating the dreaded Skeletron! All Rock Mobs have a chance to drop Smooth Rocks!
Rocky Skeleton- Spawns at nightime occasionally.
Rock Slime- Spawns during the day.
Rock Tunneler- Spawns very rarely, at all times.

Jelly Pod- A hardmode stationary mob that shoots Jelly spores at the player. When killed, the pod releases any three jellyfish!
Man O' War- A spiky prehardmode jellyfish that inflicts the broken armor debuff (quite a danger in prehardmode)
Box Jellyfish- The hardmode replacement of the Pink Jellyfish. With longer tendrils, this dangerous jellyfish can inflict the venom debuff!
Eel- A hardmode replacement to the squid that can inflict the electrified debuff!
Sharkon- A rare variant of the Shark, with more health, defense, and damage, which spawns in Prehardmode and hardmode!

Dungeon Expansion!
Similarly to the Hardmode Dungeon, we have prehardmode Armor based mobs spawning dependent on Wall/Tile, color, shape, and more!
Necro Walker- A Mob that functions similarly to the Angry Bones, but with a bit more speed and damage!
Spore Caster- A Caster clad in Jungle Armor that shoots Spore clouds at the player.
Shadow Rusher- The Corruption Variant of this Mini-miniboss is a fast one, with less damage but more speed than its Crimson Variant!
Crimson Brutalist- A slower, tankier Mini-miniboss that dishes a lot of damage, so watch out!
Beholder- A Cursed Skull type of mob that spawns rarely!
Orb Thrower- A hardmode Dungeon Mod that shoots Magnet Spheres at the player

Lihzard Mobs! Expanding on the seemingly desolate Lihzard Temple! All of them can drop Lihzard Power Cells!
Lihzard Mimic- Looks like a Lihzard Statue at first, then attacks you. When killed, a Sun Elemental spawns!
Sun Elemental- Spawned when a Lihzard Mimic is killed. Teleports around you, shooting lasers. Has a chance to drop a Sun Stone.
Lihzard Heretic- A Caster Mob that quickly shoots green bolts of energy at you!
Lihzard Pot Mimic- A stationary mob that shoots fireballs at you, disguised as a pot at first.

Dusking- A menacing boss that lurks in the night... It shoots out projectiles and minions including Crystal Shadows, Shadow Balls, Shadow Circles, and Shadowflamers.
Dusk Crown- Summons the Dusking... Crafted with 2 Spirit Bars and 4 Souls of Night at a Mythril/Orichalcum anvil.
The Shadowflame Sword- Shoots out a Shadowflame Projectile
The Shadow Sphere- Shoots a slow moving Shadow Circle.

After aeons of being trapped in a flux, the Essence of Terraria was slowly corrupted. It was but a husk now, hosting those souls with malevolent desires, wanting to see the world burn. They imbued the ore and rock around them, and became known as The Overseer. At the core, however, the Essence was still fighting. He restrained the spirits from extracting their wrathful revenge until he knew that they could finally be destroyed... By you.
Vanquish the Overseer, release the Essence of Terraria from his prison, and prepare, O Terrarian, for your final battle.

Yup. The Overseer is a Post Moon Lord Spirit Biome boss! It's a tough cookie indeed, firing Ethereal Wisps, Soul Shards, and Core Pieces, while dashing at the player and swiping with its rocky claws. Watch out! It's summoned by clicking a Spirit Altar, which appears randomly on the surface of your Spirit Biome. Prepare well...
Drops:
Essence of Eternity (above armor) - Crafts the 3 Armor sets of the Overseer, dropped by the Overseer in large quantities
Shadowspirit Armor! (left to right):
Shadowspirit Visor- Increases melee damage, speed, and crit chance. Melee attacks have a chance to release a Core Piece on swing!
Shadowspirit Headdress- Increases magic and summon damage, as well as increasing mana, number of summons, and reduces mana usage! Ranged and Summon attacks summon forth a homing ethereal Wisp.
Shadowspirit Shako- Increases ranged damage, throwing damage, crit chance, speed, and reduces ammo consumption! Arrows and Throwing Weapons have a chance to turn into Soul Shards, piercing enemies and severely reducing enemy defense!
Set Bonus- Become the Shadow. Using Shadow gear allows you to either double tap to dash or press O to teleport to your cursor.
Essence Expulsor Staff- Fires a huge spurt of blue essence at your enemies!
Spirit Core- Causes a huge explosion to trigger at the player's position, releasing a bunch of piercing rocks at enemies.
Soul Chainer- A huge mace that explodes into ethereal energy when hitting an enemy!
Core Clawer (to the right of Soul Chainer)- A close range, claw weapon that reduces enemy defense!
Core Piercer (above Soul Chainer)- A throwing weapon that shatters into shards upon impacting the ground
AEther Imbue Staff- Summons an AEther boulder surrounded by a tiny core fragment, which it hurls at enemies. Subsequent summons do not give you more AEther boulders but add more cores to your boulder, allowing quicker, more damaging shots.
Eternity- A rapid, double-shot firing bow that releases waves of energy that goes through walls.

Golden Apple- Adds two defense. As your life goes down, your defense increases...
Circe's Scimitar- Shoots out a small projectile that can paralyze enemies for a few seconds.
Bolt Staff- Harness the Power of Zeus to shoot a bolt of lightning which pierces through your enemies!
Tattered Shotbow- Shoots two arrows at once. Arrows shot have much more armor penetration, no matter which arrow...

As for the Granite Mimic...
The Granite Mimic- A hardmode Mini Boss found in the Granite Biome!
Granite Slicer- When swung, an afterimage of the sword appears on the other side of you, dealing less damage.
Granite Reflector- Creates a wall of Granite Energy that does damage and reflects enemy projectiles.
Lazure Longbow- Shoots out Granite Arrows that stick to enemies similarly to Javelins, dealing damage over time.
Granite Shield- Adds 3 Defense. When below 50 health, you get 7 seconds of invincibility! Hopefully you can pop that potion in time!

The Lone Trapper- A lost soul... From the days of old, he was the last hope of the Purity. Trapping powerful, wayward souls with his mastery of the Essence... On his journey to the underworld, however, he was tormented and tricked by the Demons... They destroyed his soul and morphed his physical being into one of horror. He roamed the underworld, with a broken body, but with good intentions, keeping the Ancient Spirits of the Dark and Light at Bay. A few demons were tasked with keeping his soul stifled, and concealed his essence in the body of a doll.
Soon after the death of the Wall Of Flesh, the Lone Trapper's essence is released into the world once more. However, only after defeating a mechanical boss will the Trapper truly return, to aid you in what he could not finish... Banishing the Souls once and for all.

The Cultists have been watching you. These Cultists have troops modeled after the Celestial invaders, with roots digging deep into the past of Terraria...
Upon defeating the Golem of the Lihzards, the Cultists have seen you as a threat. They're coming...
Watch your homes and your life. The Cultists come clad in Celestial Armor, bearing Celestial weapons. Fireballs will rain from the sky, and the ground will quake. Stay strong, Terrarian, for you are close to the end.
Can you vanquish the Cultists and make them retreat to the dungeon?

The Cult Faction event is an expansion to the pre-lunar events Summoner Class, but also adding more items in general. Once Golem is defeated the first time around, the Cult Faction Event is 100% likely to occur. Every subsequent Golem Death has a 1/20 chance to spawn in the event.
Enemies:
White Cultist Archer- Shoots arrows at you.
Ancient Vision- When 10 Cultists of any kind are killed, a portal spawns and Ancient Vision spawns. Shoots ancient light projectiles at you.
Vortex Bowman- Immune to knockback. When within range of the player, the Bowman will shoot his Phantasm, dealing tons of damage.
Daybreaker- Immune to Knockback. It will rapidly fire Daybreak projectiles at the player.
Stellarian- Immune to Knockback. Spawns Star Cells around him that attack the player.
Nebularian- A Caster enemy that teleports and fires Nebula Arcanums at the player.
Hell Worshiper- A caster that spawns in the Cult Faction Event and shoots fireballs.
Get ready for Fire Rain! The Heavens rain down the fire to cleanse the world, but you're caught in the crossfire! A quick weather event that occurs rarely in the Cult Faction Event.
The Lunar Strider- The miniboss of the event! A mad Lunar Contraption that scuttles towards the player very quickly! I wouldn't stand right above the jewel in its center if I were you...

The Spirit of Terraria's essence is manifesting on the soil of the world itself. As the Spirit grows more conscious, the Spirit Biome spreads, but experiences turmoil, much like the Spirit Itself. Monsters spawn forth from the land, disoriented and confused, attacking you, the Chosen One. Stay safe here, for lost and tormented souls rise from the ground, and small, unseen enemies are quite common...

The Spirit Biome is a Biome that spreads after one Mechanical boss has been defeated. The theme is all about souls and spirits, not necessarily malevolent ones, however.
