What I feel scared about right now is the way the number of participants dwindle from contest to contest.
2 years ago, we had around 200 entries.
Last year, we had 100 entries.
And now we have between 50 and 60 entries.
I could understand a part of it for last year : The rewards were not as big as those in the contest that took place 2 years ago (didn't involve money)
But for this year's contest, even though there is a bigger reward, there are fewer people and that worries me a little.

(I know money is not the only thing that attracts people but we can't deny it tends to play a role in the number of participants.)

It's more understandable than it looks like though.

The first contest happened right after the summer of the 1.3 release hype.
This year, the only major update we had was 1.3.5. Wich has very less interesting content.
1.3 was the biggest shark jump (literally) and Otherworld was in early 2017 confirmed to not likely be released this year so it's quite understandable with the silence.

There are still Terraria-related games and update news looking forward for. Just not likely this year.

The judging process has started. We will announce the results in a new Thread when the results are determined. It will still take time before the judging process finishes.

To be fair, the 2nd year contest had nearly double the amount of this year's.
