Single Thread RP The Terra

(A load of tension suddenly dissipates from the girl.) "Okay... keep going."

*Helviak gets more tense as he notices nothing happening. He inputs the code again.*

(Oh, i thought it wrong.)
Nothing went wrong in the process. The chest opened itself.

"yup." Judgy nodded.

Inside the chest there are ... a miniature boulder?
[Red's Favorite Toy]
Throw it to cause havoc! It'll expand to its original size once thrown. Deals approximately d20:65 damage at single or multiple targets in a row.

(1, 5) (Weak point, double damage!) (6 + 32 = 38 ---- 745 - 48 = 696) The blows both strike true, ripping the sinuous dark fibers to bits. The golem buckles a bit with a groan, staggering to the side as new tendrils snap to patch the wound, stones shifting to cover the previously exposed patch. A thin drizzle of the liquified dark substance trickles from where the cuts left their mark, even when covered by new stones.

With a rumble, it raises its forearm level to Song, fingers coiling back, stones shifting to split apart, current building.

Arentine, heaving back again with a snarl of pain, draws another great arrow, taking aim at the hand, loosing it sloppily. (4)

(15) It misses the shifting stones entirely.

With the forearm reaching a roaring climax, it snaps back together, a bullet-like electrified blast ripping towards Song. (15)
Song rolls out of the way, getting shocked by the blast even while dodging the main brunt of the projectile (D20: 13).

Nonetheless, Song gets both a severe jolt that dazes her, and a burn along her side for her troubles.
Song shakes off her pain and starts strafing the golem again, deciding to check the golem's other leg for similar fibers while planning out her best course of action...(D20: 14 for perception).

“Well that was anticlimactic”

(Flora walks from her post and kneels down to her prize. She seems more confused than anything, looking back at Helviak.) “Who would leave that here?”

(She then shrugs and grabs the bounder.) “Er, I don’t have a pocket or purse to put this in… lost it when I was shoved into that prison.”

= Xueqing =
The girl then looks around, quickly spotting the group at the other side.
She looks back at the giant, and decides to rocket from the ground levitating - flying - and summons a hardened ice hammer in her hands.

She'd try to strike the giant's chest... [3, +1 acc, +8 damage] the aim isn't going to be good, though, and she's visibly disoriented, leaving an open space for attack.
<sync-only roll: 10 - nope>

Well, looks like the spell is pretty powerful, even despite it not being a techy way to fix the injuries. It certainly restores enough of her strength to become a potential help, though. Ossea groans, and promptly gets up, ready to fight... after she gets her knife in her weapon arm.

She looks for the weak points. She could send the looks of them to Xueqing just in case she isn't able to do harm herself. <15>

Odeanther shrugs, picks up some of the ribs (amnt - 8), some of the rocks (amnt - 12), then looks for weak points too. <9>
(Those two...?)

In any case, Odeanther starts throwing some rocks at the giant at what he perceives to be a weak spot, with a resigned sigh. (acc: d20 +2 :: (5) 7 , (16) 18, dmg: 6-10, 3-10)
"I would love to have a shotty right now..."
Those may only draw attention off others, but they are not going to do anything at all to the giant.

"A rock."

*Helviak walks up to the chest next to Flora.*
"All that... For a rock.
...
But of course."
*He opens his bag and holds it out for her to put the mini boulder in.*
"I'll carry it until we can use it. There's got to be some reason someone put it in a chest."
*Unless there was a note inside the chest saying the rock is magical, Helviak doesn't know its very dangerous.*

(There is, but it only says, this boulder is Red's favorite toy.)
(Also check out FARE!)

(She underhand tosses it in from about 30cm away. She looks up to the sky.) "...what now? I didn't exactly have a plan when I showed up here."

The boulder didn't expand. Seemingly, it could sense if there was a threat.

(19) The blow makes a dull thud against the hardened stones. She's lucky the golem has elsewhere to look.

(2) Right there. The right side of the neck (from Ossea's POV), the stones seem to have grown thin as the golem has shifted to track Song with its gaze.

(9) As for other areas of attack.. no luck, at least not right now.

(12) It's as if it's reinforced its legs. Thick stones shift and move across all of the seeming "joints".

She does catch sight of something briefly along the back.... nothing precise, just a quick glance.

The golem arches its upper body back, a fist coiling before slamming down in a straight towards Song. (9)

Arentine gets his footing, grimacing again as he looses yet another greatarrow, aiming for the head. (19)

(6) (19 - 10 = 9 ---- 687) It sticks in on the golem's stony face with a dull thud, scarcely doing more than making the behemoth give a low, annoyed grumble.

(She underhand tosses it in from about 30cm away. She looks up to the sky.) "...what now? I didn't exactly have a plan when I showed up here."
"You said your home is... Undesirable to remain. Did you run away, or get kidnapped? Why were you in the shack in the first place?"
*He picks up the boulder and bags it.*
"I came from another world. I'm looking for my friend who got teleported away from me and my... Associates suddenly. My other associates are otherwise occupied, so I'm exploring worlds similar to his last memories to see if I can get him home."
*He thinks about how that sounds.*
"It sounds more complicated than it is."

(2) Right there. The right side of the neck (from Ossea's POV), the stones seem to have grown thin as the golem has shifted to track Song with its gaze.
Ossea then relays the weakness to Xuequing through her known method of communication - Augmented Reality. She's probably too hurt to exploit it herself, but she definitely doesn't have a ranged weapon that has ammo.

Receiving this piece of information, the girl immediately shifted her attention to the giant's neck.
Flying around for a bit, she found the spot, and her hammer shifted into a scythe.
With one dash, she zoomed towards the weak point, aiming for a good slash.
[17, +1 acc, +8 dmg]

"yup." The skeleton nodded.

Song jumps back to dodge the fist slam (D20: 13) before attempting to mount the arm, attempting to climb up the golem (D20: 8).

{Notifs broke...}
"You said your home is... Undesirable to remain. Did you run away, or get kidnapped? Why were you in the shack in the first place?"
(She doesn't look down to him, seemingly zoning out as she stares into the clouds.) "There were dictators who showed up... they started to force some sort of spell that makes you extremely powerful with magic at the cost of killing you after a few months." (She sighs, eyes sparkling with water. She looks down to the ground below her, hardly keeping herself composed.) "It was run or die."

(A slight breeze catches the cloth of her half-robe as well as her hair, causing it to flow gently in the wind.) "...that's enough context."

(She wipes the water from her face with the back of her right hand. Calming down, she looks over to Helviak.) "Sounds noble enough."

(Oh ho ho, yess, we could start a rebellion...)

*Helviak stands up and nods respectfully. He offers her a handkerchief.*
"You made the right choice."
*His voice makes it seem like he understands.*

"What are friends for, eh? Still... how'd you end up in that shack?"
