After trying a bunch of different things, I've decided to go with something relatively simple:
It's 9x15, the size of some of the cells in the trunk image you shared, though where it's placed really doesn't matter.
It doesn't need to be this exactly, just something along these lines. Feel free to not do any part of it for the sake of brevity.
Here's the breakdown:
The caution tape stripe is Gray Stucco painted with Deep Yellow Paint and hammered as shown, behind which is placed any wall painted with Shadow Paint.
The lights are Steampunk Candles on invisible platforms with chains running down to them. The chains will only place properly on some of the blocks of the yellow stripe as shown:
Most of the walls are Emerald Stone Walls, and those behind the Mannequins are Grinch Finger Wallpaper (which has now become my new favorite item name).
The platforms that the Mannequins are standing on are Green Dungeon Platforms, and the bottom of the Mannequins is painted with (regular) Teal Paint to (kind of) match them.
I don't really care where each of the vanities is placed but here they are:
Head: Gravedigger's Hat with Teal and Silver Dye (one item)
Body: Tax Collector's Suit with Flame and Black Dye (one item)
Feet: Tax Collector's Pants with Sky Blue and Silver Dye (one item)
Head: Gold Crown with Green Flame and Black Dye (one item)
Body: Lunar Cultist Robe with Reflective Obsidian Dye
Feet: nothing
Accessory slot 1: Crimson Cloak with Teal and Silver Dye (one item)
Head: Platinum Crown with Blue Flame and Black Dye (one item)
Body: Lunar Cultist Robe with Reflective Copper Dye
Feet: nothing
Accessory slot 1: Crimson Cloak with Teal and Silver Dye (one item)
If you're regretting allowing multiple vanities, just pick your favorite one.

This is super awesome!!! I'd like to, instead of having a mannequin, have a sky-blue-painted Gold Squirrel Cage.
And dibs on the Zoologist being housed there, if that's okay. Don't judge me.
