tModLoader The Thorium Mod

I think its easy to forgot that there's a human being beyond the screen with their own lives and difficulties they're facing. I alone have had over 2300+ files to sift through with some taking as short as 15 seconds to as long as 3 minutes to fix. There aren't multiple people working on the coding here, I'm a single guy trying to migrate, fix and completely rewrite code that's been changed/damaged by the new tmod update. Top that off with it happening mid-big update, incredibly stressful personal matters, my own life, and you guys hounding me like I'm not trying my best and you get a recipe for a longer than average update time.

Spare me an ounce of respect and please be patient while I try my best to do this in a timely matter... :sigh:

^^^This. Exactly this.

You take as much time as you need, man. Sorry to hear that you are dealing with personal matters affecting you, i hope things look up for you bud. Dont stress yourself out trying to please everyone, we are all human and we do our sloppiest work when we are stressed or dealing with personal matters. Just take care of yourself first and foremost!

HURRY UP!! j/k :p. Hope my previous post didnt come off as hounding, or rushing you. Seems the Spirit mod is a ways off from being updated anyways and i'd prefer to have the 4 massive mods (Thorium,Calamity,Tremor, Spirit) all at once, so i'm waiting for that one anyways, so if it takes a few weeks, no biggie i got other games im playing. Good luck

Spark Taser is a really awesome weapon, especially if you focus on Thrower. When me and a friend played through on Expert a while ago, it was his weapon of choice all the way up to Moon Lord.
Yesss, I used that in my last run too as Thrower and it was amaziiiiiing! Although I used it pre-nerf, too. But basically, I just had to pick a side and start throwing to fend off just about anything.

Personally, I eventually made it a secondary weapon by the time Bugenkai Shurikens rolled around, but I love those things just as much.
Speaking of cool throwing weapons, I loved the Champion's God Hand and the Rocket Fist, personally. The God Hand was just plain good, and I love giant robots, so shouting "ROCKET PUNCH!" always fills me with glee.

Also, since it's being said, I'm pretty excited for the update! Thorium's always been the go-to big mod for my friends and I, after all. And I even called playing Bard months in advance. But that said, do be sure to take your time if you need to! Haste makes waste, after all, especially if you're also going through some stuff.

This is what I mean, though. He's a man doing a Terraria mod, not a god in need of worship and bolstering protection. Paragraphs upon paragraphs explaining why it's right to be grabbing the fan and relieving modder stress is what I'm talking about with "white knight-esque" but that wasn't the point I was making with the post anyway; the point I was making was that the idea floating around that the tmodloader/vanilla Terraria update ruined everything and it all needed redone wasn't entirely true and just required some easy, albeit tedius, changes, and the real reason Thorium's taking a while is because it's doing a ton of updating for itself. Bard class, AD makeover, that sorta thing.

I say i have this problem:
I found en error.
Is about depth chest in aqatic depth.
If I found some and try open it I cant./If I finaly open it somehow it was empty. And if I look on depth chest on map my game crash!
And write:

Terraria: Error
System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

i may be :red:ed here
but why not just combine all the huge :red: mods into one big super mod
called sacred crystilitremorium spirit of joostcy calamity

i mean

if that happened wouldnt everything be :red:loads easier
again i could be reaching the upper levels of :red:ation

Not everyone wants to play with every single mod available on the mod browser. Some people just like to play one mod at a time. This would make absolutely NO sense. Also, not every modder knows each other, some of them would rather not fuse their mod with other mods.

Aside from the obvious reason that every dev team merging with all of their vast content, along with each of their own opposing visions would be a total disaster?

Most people don't use or want to use every large mod out there simultaneously (to reiterate Koopahunter's point). I thoroughly enjoy some large mods holding them in very high regard (Thorium being at the very top of my list (my love and kudos to DivermanSam)), and meanwhile don't care for others and regard them as nothing but low-quality bloat to the game. Others I would enjoy, if they were less buggy and/or unbalanced. The beauty here is everyone can pick and choose what types of mods they want to use, or not use in their game -- according to their tastes. Combining them all together removes all that glorious freedom.

While it'd only be one file to download, the file size will also be incredibly-huge and likely not even fit on the mod browser properly, so there's literally no up-side to this at all.

Some mods want to go in different directions than others and it would be absolute hell if there are like five different lead developers all trying to do different things in one mod.

I understand quite a few mods have to update due to changes but learn to have patience not everything is about your personal convenience.

i do use tremor and thorium together

hell i use all those huge mods together

one by one seems kinda tedious to me but meh

how big of a file tho id imagine it not passing 1 gb

Calamity,Tremor,Thorium and Spirit mod have incredibly talented modders, their sprites are amazing. Would be interesting to see a collaboration between them all to see what they could do as one team. Hell they could probably make a game at this point. All 4 of those mods play well together, and mesh perfectly. Most times when i play it, i forget what items/bosses/enemies belong to what mod due to them being so incredibly well done and fit into Terraria perfectly.

Atleast modding Terraria isnt horrible, could be as bad as Skyrim or Minecraft. Merging mods to decrease the modcount and lower chances of corrupted saves/incompatibilities sounds nice, but it'll never happen.

These 4 mods imo are essential to Terraria, and i simply can't play Terraria without them.

Terraria is just there...in my library taunting me, begging me to play it but its so hard to do without Thorium and Spirit.

The Thread is getting off topic overall. This is about the Thorium Mod. Not about what other mods may or may not have an effect on Thorium. So this Thread needs to return to focusing on Thorium. One post on something somewhat unrelated to the Thread is fine once in awhile, but it becomes an issue when the conversation begins to focus on that subject.

@GOD(GOD THE MAJESTIC)

There are better choices of words you could have used to describe your suggestion. The term ":red:" is considered offensive to some, and there is no need to describe yourself in that manner with your suggestion.

Please try to avoid using the term in manners such as this. If you have further questions about this. Please direct them to a PM by sending a PM to myself or another Staff Member.
