Making the yoyo shoot projectiles in one direction is not very reliable either. I'm thinking about some more unique properties, like, I don't know, a yoyo that explodes/heals on critical hit or one that has really short duration which extends with every succesfull hit (that would be a nice pre-hardmode yoyo). However, as I said, I don't know your capabilities.

The Eye of the Destroyer from the thorium mod does shoots 1 homing laser idk if cheking out it's code might help.

BTW I was thinking that to make the marble biome yoyo (hoplites) more interesting you could make it inspired on the medusa and make it randomly shoot like a charged medusa head and only then it can petrify.

I knew that would be mentioned as the color theme of the recluses is similar to the color of the wooden yoyo. The only way to prevent this from happening, is to use the colors of the wall creepers instead.

It is, as the base sprite was a wooden yoyo. I like the idea but failed to execute the sprite, I might improve it but that is of course if pheonix likes the idea.

If you mean in-game, it stuns when it hits an enemy sometimes.
If you mean code-wise, I can't help you there.
If you mean on bosses, FIX IT PHOENIX!

Uh I just noticed the new yoyos on the OP they look really nice I think your sprites are getting better.

BTW I read from the guy designing the x2 res texture pack for terraria that making the outlines darker color version of the in lines usually looks better than using black outlines. What do you think?

drops from:.....Nimbus i guess since nothing in terraria is thunder/electrical i don't think
Debuff: sends shock charges through your fow slowing them down and doing damage over time(Insert cool thunder soundeffeft here please CHA KAOWW.....i'm so sry for that )
Not my best idea for sure but i don;t think i've ever seen a yoyo having something to do with thunder
