Poetry There Once Was a Girl

Miziziriz

Skeletron
I wrote this poem a while ago. There isn't much else to say other than that. Maybe I'll write more if the inspiration strikes me.

there once was a girl

there once was a girl
who was probably
different from
you
at least, that’s what
she thought
and it wasn't because
she heard all those
cliches
like
you’re so unique
just like
a snowflake
(there’s no
scientific
proof of that
anyway)
like
you’re
one in a million
you know
(even if
that were true
statistically
there would be
eight thousand people
just like you
anyway)
and sometimes
she thought
that she'd never
find
someone
like
her
and she was
just
f i n e . . .
maybe
but doubt crept into
her mind
did she really want
to be alone
f
o
r
e
v
e
r
?
was she really just
f i n e . . . ?
and sometimes her thoughts
drove her mad
no, insane
sleepless nights lost
to
WORRY
what if she wasn't
Good
enough?
what did she look like
through other people's
eyes?
cynical thoughts
maddening thoughts
rushing through her head
at

breakneck speed
and sometimes she just wanted to
die
well, no
not really
but fall asleep
for a hundred years
no, a thousand years
wait for everyone who knew her
to simply forget
so she could start
anew

Every girl IS unique in her own way. And it doesn't matter what she looks like in other peoples eyes because humanity is blind. And as long as your doing the best you can, your doing good enough. Sorry im trying to help a poem character :/

Anyway nice poem!
