Things that you have ignored in terraria

So, when I was preparing a character for 1.3, I noticed so many things I forgot about in the game. These were:
Any type of shield
Meteor being able pre-boss and being way too op.
The terrablade (this was in 1.2 as well!)

So what do/did you forget about?

I always forget about the Worm Food/Bloody Spine since whenever I run out of Shadow Orbs/Crimson Hearts, I just make a new world and break the ones in there.

I almost always forget about sentries - they can dramatically increase your DPS!

I always forget about King slime, then the slime rain comes and I'm like OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH

Geez. I've never killed king slime.

The crimson accessories like the Panic Necklace, heck I didn't even know the BoC pet existed, so it is easy to forget.

I actually didn't realize you could sell items until hardmode of my first playthrough

I didn't know about skeletron until my second play-through, so basically I never went to the dungeon my first time playing...

I often forget to take a shield with me but partially it's because I tend to go for DPS loadouts. I can deal with knockback if I can kill a boss much faster.

Without a shield I die in a minute

King slime, well he never spawns.
Also i tend to forget that the corruption in my hardmodeworld spreads.

I tend to forget about some 1.2 endgame content, such as the hardmode dungeon and the biome chests

i always forget about purifying my world because i learned the hard way that converting most stuff into the hallow does a much better job

I always seem to forget angler quests for some reason.

I usually forget potions. I'm more focused on exploring than fighting, so although I remember to place campfires, heart lanterns and honey pools, I often have a hard time fighting bosses. Still remember headdesking after seeing all the potions I had prepared just sitting in my inventory after a particularly wrought battle.

Fishing. 'Nuff said... And crates from fishing.

Also, Corruption... I'm always using a Crimson World, and I'm not going back. XD

I just get that and beyond that it's basically just go through when needed.
