Casual Things you believed when you were very young

Don't delete em, you'll probably wanna look back at them one day
The only good part is when I said that my neat-freak mom would hate Mars because it is too dusty. I also said that when I was five— I guess I was younger than that at the time— I was going to return to my “real” family back at Mars. I was an interesting child.

I live on a peninsula surrounded by a river. On one side of the neighborhood, you have the river in your backyard. Go across the road and everyone also has the same river flowing in the opposite direction in their backyard. Go to the place at the end of the neighborhood and they're surrounded by the river's U-turn. I used to think the river was a loop and I lived on an island.

When I was around 5 I thought I was from Mars. My family has videos of it; they’re really embarrassing.
IIRC, don't you have a Youtube Channel? I have an idea for something to upload if you want a lot of views. :D
I used to think you could make more space on an iPad by just putting all the apps into folders, therefore making more space on the home screen for more apps
You weren't entirely wrong. You did made space on the home screen.
I know you meant memory, but... I just can't say you were wrong.

When i was young I thought green skies always meant tornadoes. Now i know it can sometimes (i think) be caused by strong supercells.

On a related note I also thought every tornado absolutely demolished every building in its path (like at EF4+ Intensity). It was around that time period too when I thought every time there was a green sky there was a tornado incoming.

When I was younger I struggled to comprehend opinions that aren't my opinions, so unless someone could give me a detailed explanation that shows every single reason for their holding of an opinion contrary to mine, I automatically started thinking that that opinion was invalid and caused by illogic, regardless of whether or not it actually was.
That inability to understand others' opinions led to a lot of arguments, sadly.

I mean, the average Twitter user still can’t do that.

I used to think that there was infinite resources on earth.

I believed Wifi-Calls didn't use up my calling minutes - I found out this morning

I used to never dig hellevators in terraria because you should never dig down because you might fall in lava 💀

I thought Tumblr was a dating app.

I used to think we were supposed to support Greg Heffley and see him as the good guy

I used to think that I wasn’t able to think. I don’t understand what was going on in my 5 year old mind.

I thought when women were past a certain age, they spontaneously would get pregnant and men were only there for moral support.

That pressing A in sync with a Pokeball shaking would increase the capture rate.
I still do this when I am capturing legendaries. I know it doesn't work, but I still do it.

To add to that, I remember feeling bad for women who couldn't get married in time and now have to deal with a child without a husband.

Yeah, some fully grown adults have this issue. It is surprisingly common. One thing that I believed in while I was young was that there were monsters in the shadows, waiting to drag me to hell when they can. I believe that the Shadow Creatures from DS were based on this fear.

I was watching Sleeping Beauty yesterday again, and I recall that I once believed in the curse of the spinning wheel.
So I was actually uncomfortable, if not afraid, of them.
Without knowing it's actual purpose, I thought it was more akin to a torture device with a poison stinger.
"Spin" is also a dutch word for "Spider" which represents fear, so there was also a bit of confirmation bias.

(The whole spinning wheel scene still feels haunting to this day)
