Hello Terrarians,
I'm known on YouTube as Maj0r Lee. In 2016 I uploaded a video to YouTube titled “Terraria Review - Greatest Video Game of All Time?”
It was an absurd yet honest review of a video game that truly saved me at a time when I deeply needed a distraction. I was a brand new YouTuber with zero following. This wasn’t my first video, but it was definitely my first one that didn’t suck. I posted the video to this very forum and was met with a flood of positivity. It was the first time I had actually received positive comments on my videos. Posting the video to this forum helped the video spread. It helped my channel grow. I think ChippyGaming gave me a shot out at some point which did not hurt. I continued reviewing underrated indie games and things that inspired me, building my channel over the years.
A couple years later I was contacted by Terraria’s marketing team. They wanted to do a video to advertise their Discord server. They asked me to essentially modify my original video to be shorter, free of the immature jokes and profanity, and to have it include new material to help promote Terraria on Discord. I offered to make a whole new video instead. We called it “Introduction to Terraria” and it turned out pretty decent.
Over the years my YouTube channel continued to grow. By 2024 I had 48 thousand subscribers and had acquired millions of total views across my channel.
This story does have a point and now I’m going to get to it.
About 3 months ago my YouTube channel, Maj0r Lee, was hacked. And unfortunately I lost everything. It was a similar type of hack that many other YouTubers have faced before, but unfortunately Google still has not restored my account and it’s not looking like they are going to. It's been devastating.
Long story short, I have since started a new channel and are in the process of re-uploading all of my videos.
All of my Terraria videos are back up and I would like to re-share them with you here again. That's really it. That's the whole point of this post.
I haven't fully given up on trying to get my old channel back, but it's not looking good. Google and Youtube are unable to verify that I'm the owner of my account and are claiming to be unable to restore not only my channel but also my entire Gmail account. I have since started a new channel and am in the process of rebuilding, but it has been tough.
I hope you can understand my need for shameless self promotion, because this is the very platform that gave me the boost I needed 9 years ago.
I don't think my new channel will ever reach the heights of the old one, and yes there is still a tiny, microscopic chance that Youtube will restore my channel. But it's been 3 months and they're telling me that it's not going to happen. So now I'm just trying to restart. It's all I can do.
Now, in case you're reading this and are like "jeez, this is a bummer..." I recommend you start with my Terraria rap video, because it is so idiotically absurd that you just gotta laugh. You'll get a sense of my humor and that I really just want to fun here. I don't want to be a bummer.
And if you can endure more, I've shared my other Terraria videos below. And I sincerely hope you enjoy them. Because they are fun. This is my favorite game of all time and I think it shows.
