Bought from Traveling Merchant for 3 silver each, Throwing Axes deal 30 ranged damage, and are thrown in a large arc, so they travel high but not very far. These throwing axes also need to be wound up by charging the throw button for a short bit.
Throwing Axes have a 1 in 3 recovery rate, so if they touch an enemy, they can be given back to you about a third of the time.
Throwing Axes hit enemies and stick into them to deal 8 points of bleeding damage for 4 seconds. They are the strongest consumable weapon, but don't have much use in Hardmode, and can be costly.
