Tips on dodging Martian Saucer's Laser?

Seriously, this thing is borderline undodgeable. The Saucer moves at such a ridiculous pace that you're going to get hit a lot. And since each hit does about 200 damage, it sometimes feels impossile to kill these things.

Edit: This would hardly be a problem if they were more rare, but these things spawn ALL THE TIME. It's outrageous.

If you can get your hands on a fishron mount, Getting to under half health lets you kite the thing completely.

Or make a pool for the whole setup.

I used the hoverboard, and i found that he only moves laterally while firing, so if you always get above him, you can survive.

The laser doesn't go through blocks, grapple under something to hide and heal or even shoot from relative safety.

hide under blocks, use the Solar Eruption Weapon, thats how I killed them.

Since it doesn't fire through blocks, my friends and I just camped in our house, when it hovered low following its (expert mode) AI pattern, they used their raining bow and yoyo while I took pot shots with my Terrablade. what was originally a challenge became hilariously easy.
