tModLoader tModLoader Crashing On Startup

Lord Oats

Terrarian
I tried to play tModLoader again after about 2 weeks of not playing it, when I get an error message about the files not being valid. I verified the integrity of the files and it still came up with an error message. I reinstalled the game completely as well, removing all folders (that I know of) relating to tModLoader. The game still did not start.

System: Windows 10 x64 bit
Terraria and tModLoader installed through steam

Thank you in advance.

Follow these steps to do a hard reset of your vanilla game file
1) Delete the Terraria folder in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common.
2) Un-install, then re-install Terraria in Steam. If you want to do a hard reset of tModLoader's game files, then do the exact same steps but with the tModLoader folder and tModLoader in Steam instead.
(Note: your saves won't be touched by doing this.)

Thank you so much! I fully reset both the vanilla game and tModLoader and it works fine!

This doesn't work for me, I start it and nothing happens. it just doesn't open and steam says it's not running.
